Only if it walks like a Greek and talks like a Greek....Then!!!!!

Talat baffled by Garoyian snub
TURKISH Cypriot leader Mehmet Ali Talat said he did not know why centre-right coalition partner DIKO had returned a Christmas gift basket he sent to the party leader Marios Garoyian.

Talat said he had discussed the issue with President Demetris Christofias because it was not the first time he had sent such gifts baskets during the December holiday period.

He had sent similar ones to former President, the late Tassos Papadopoulos and the leaders of the other Greek Cypriot political parties, he said.

On Friday, Garoyian snubbed the gift basket from Talat, and sent it back through the UN.

Garoyian refused to accept the New Year basket because it contained a card saying it was from “President Mehmet Ali Talat” and some of the contents were stamped “KKTC”, the Turkish acronym for the ‘TRNC’.

It's good common sense to return dodgy, unsolicited parcels received through the post.

Especially when they bare the hallmark of a deluded Individual from nowhere land!

Well done Garoyian!

Beware of Turks sending stolen gifts ....

I have never been a T/C hero or a G/C for that matter. I have consistently supported a united Cyprus where all Cypriots are equal under the law and are neither a minority or a majority.
Mr. Talat is NOT a president since the "TRNC" is not recognised by any nation , the UN , the EU etc.
Would he have expected a reciprocation by the Party leader addressing his gift to the President ? Come off it now mate !

The hero was in your Armenian example of a democratic nation paving the way for "minority" ministers Miltiades and not you personally... You have no one to use in your rhetoric now....

The article says that ALL the parties and Christofias got the gift...Only the arse licker sent it back.....Of corse we understand that it is only a little trick trying to show that his people are with the GCs but then why would they allow anyone else into the position who dose not do as he is told.....

Karoyian is not Greek. He is Armenian Cypriot and acts like it.

He dislikes the Turkish fascists for what they did to his country like every other Cypriot does, but he also has an additional reason to dislike the Turkish fascists, and that is the Armenian Genocide which you committed against them and you refuse to recognize.

Did you know that most of the Armenians that live on our island came to Cyprus from Asia Minor to escape the genocide Zan?

If Greek Cypriots have 1 reason to dislike the fascist Turkish leadership and their Cyprus puppets, Armenian Cypriots have two.

I have empathy for all good people who show respect to me and our island and receive respect from me in return.

You, on the other hand, are not able to even understand some basic things, let alone show empathy.

According to you an Armenian Cypriot shouldn't have a problem with the Turkish leadership and their puppets in Cyprus, and you concluded that the reaction of Karoyian must be because he is trying to act like a Greek. You forgot that Karoyian is Cypriot and you are illegally occupying his country as well, and you also ignored the fact that most Armenians came to Cyprus to escape certain death at the hands of the Turks.

And when I demolished your initial position all you can say is "Drivel"
