TWO LEADERS CONDEMN THE ATTACK AGAINST GAZA

Turkish Cypriot leader Mehmet Ali Talat and the Greek Cypriot leader Demetris Christofias have issued a joint statement on Gaza.
The statement announced simultaneously on both sides of the island.
The two leaders condemn the attack against Gaza and the disproportionate use of force applied by the Israeli forces that have led to huge loss of life of innocent civilians including women and children.
They also urged the international community to use its influence to bring the violence to an immediate end.
