President Grivas ...

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

You get your impressions about what the TCs want from TCs in the UK, hardly from the horses mouth, talk to TCs here in the TRNC and ask them whether they wish to live in state just as is in the south? they have that opportunity today why arent they flooding back? please ask yourself this question.

Past experience and current GC mindset propels TCs demands.

By all accounts mate you are a foreigner born or not born in Cyprus !!

This has not always been your view of a Cypriot though has it Miltiades....A while back the only Cypriots were those in favour of ENOSIS which prompted you to work for EOKA......It seems you are a floating voter in that respect

You do remind me of a docu I watched on Auschwitz. A guard remembered what he saw when the "showers" were opened after the first gassing. He said, the Jews had climbed on top of each other (the dead) in order to try and get to a vent at the top of the room. Little did they know that the gas pellets were introduced from that vent. He said the mass of bodies were like a pyramid reaching to the ceiling. Fingers were dug into eyeballs for better grip. It seems to me that you placed the pellets in the vent yourself and ran in shutting the door behind you....

Zan , are you being stupid or what. In 1955 I was 9 years old , at the age of 12 I joined the EOKA youth movement , I supported ENOSIS then.
I'm now a 62 year old man , I was then a green , naive and innocent little boy . I supported EOKA then and to this day I support the struggle against the Brits only the goal of the struggle I no longer support .
How about you mate is it not time to grow up and stop being so persistently ridiculous with your obsession in regards to Enosis , Grivas , Greeks and the ROC. Grow up and stop sulking , the RoC IS recognised , the cowboy creation of the occupying power , a third world power at that, IS NOT .The T/Cs are rebelling , the UK T/Cs ARE SICK TO DEATH WITH THE CORRUPTION AND FOREIGN OCCUPATION OF THEIR COUNTRY.
How do I know , I talk to them I see at least a couple of dozen a week .
They all tell me the same thing , they are Birkibrislies , not "Anatolians "

ps. A while back YOU SAY!!! That was 53 years ago you Plonker !!

I am not interested in listening to a man who was part of the era that took away my democratic rights and still insists that continues today. Who you talk to is a group of Africa newspaper men who are not representative of the TC people.....If they float your boat then good for you....The real world awaits them and you.

The fact that you and many others try to exclude everyone that does not agree with you as to who is and isn't Cypriot.......As I say...You can pick your place on the pile of dead bodies in the shower......

You are full of hatred and you can not see that the T/Cs see right through you mate.
The people I talk to come from all walks of life , they are all fed up to the teeth with the parasites living on their island imported by the army who is constantly squeezing the life out of the T/C .
They are proud Cypriots who want all of their island back just as I do , who put the blame squarely on the malignant growths , The Turko-Greco growth that has been struggling our people for so long.
You and others like you have the audacity to question the existence of the Cypriot people , you are at liberty to depart from the shores of this Cypriot land , take your flags , Greek and Turkish and go please and leave us Cypriots to get on with preparing the ground for the future generations of Cypriots .

The same sort of speech given by Makarios, Grivas, Sampson and Tpap....We do as we want...You do as we say...Get stuffed old man......It didn't work then and it will not now.....

You also need to be honest with your drinking partners.....Try asking them direct whether they will surrender to the "RoC"......You might then be sitting in a room all by yourself...

Its not the GC mindset that the Cyprus issue is all about VP. Its the anti-GC campaign that your still pushing to make your demands heard that makes me think how air-headed your corner really is.

Whos rebelling? no one in the TRNC takes these talks and the outcome seriously, with the up coming elections in April it looks like UBP will win then you kiss a solution goodbye for another 5 years.

VP , without recognition , and it will never come , you wont last mate , Turkey will abandon you , the warlords will take over and the great escape will begin. You mark my words mate .

It will not be in your life time though and not even in your foreign kids life time either.

Lay off Miltiades,all of you...
Miltiades is a compassionate, honourable family man,and a truly evolved Cypriot...He is man enough to admit that as a boy he was supporting EOKA and the struggle to achieve Enosis....And he is man enough to realise and admit what that struggle has cost Cyprus and is still costing Cyprus...He never has a bad word for anyone who consider themselves Cypriot above all...He is one of the few GCs in this forum who has real empathy for the pain and suffering of the TCs during the 64-74 period....
What else do you want??? His blood???

VP says:

"with the up coming elections in April it looks like UBP will win then you can kiss a solution goodbye for another 5 years."

It will be interesting to see a first, a strongly chauvinist party in power in the north, in the midst of an international economic crisis, with an open Green Line and the EU looking over everyone's shoulder. I am not making any predictions, but the combination of factors is intriguing.
