Are you serious about the nightmares? May you open up the subject a bit?

Also, you are very foolish to believe that Australia does not have a nuclear capability. It also has the ability to deliver nuclear weapons all the way to Europe if it needed to.

You seem to know as little about Australia as you do about Turkey.

Australia is a member of the South Pacific Nuclear Weapon Free Zone (the Treaty of Rarotonga).

That does not mean that we have not got any access to nuclear ballistic missiles. You should ask our ANZUS partners as well as NATO.

You should also know that Australia has the components to assemble a nuclear weapon in a matter of weeks.

You might also want to ask yourself why Australia has invested billions in long range ballistic delivery systems..See if you can gues what it is? :)

Turkey is no regional power because it does not have an adequate strategic capability when compared to countries such as Israel and Australia who are regional powers.

As Australia doesn't have nuclear weapons and obviously can not feed its own people, the remarks about Australia's ability to attack Turkey can not be taken seriously

I haven't seen any.

Everyone in Australia seems to be living in a nice house, has about a few rental properties and drive the latest Holden Commodore.

Yeah you wish  . If your talking about us wogs, yes. But the average aussie changes jobs a zillion times and thinks ahead from pay cheque to pay cheque.

I'm an average Aussie. And all the people I know seem to be doing just fine. :D

Most do live in a descent house, not many have a few rental properties. Most people these days have to bust their balls to pay off one mortgage. The average mortgage is over 300k which means an average annual interest of 24k a year! Unless two people work in good jobs that's a hell of a lot of money to pay off. I'm thinking of buying back our old house some day but it seems impossible, it's current market value is 900k. Where the hell I'll ever find that sort of dosh some day, I don't know.

P.S: Sneaky little bugger, changing the BMW to Holden    What made you change your mind?

Umit, the average Aussie earning the average income is able to hold down mortgages totalling some 1 million dollars, investing in land and property and await for capital gains to take its course.

All you need is a sound business plan and strategy. Not everyone however is this type of business acumen. All you need is a good bank manager in this country. :)

Now, back on top. We were we. Oh yes, Turkey's regional power credentials....

That is not what I meant. I am positive that the US would not want Turkey to have a nuclear capability or to have access.

You were probably not even born when Australia started testing nuclear bombs.

You misunderstand me,

The report shows for the first time how many U.S. nuclear bombs are earmarked for delivery by non-nuclear NATO countries. In times of war, under certain circumstances, up to 180 of the 480 nuclear bombs would be handed over to Belgium, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Turkey for delivery by their national air forces. No other nuclear power or military alliance has nuclear weapons earmarked for delivery by non-nuclear countries.

Also, Australia did not test the bombs. The bombs were tested in Australia (Woomera?) by the British.

Turkey has nuclear grade uranium in her own soil. She has the know how and technology to build them, so what are you on about paphiti? Having nuclear weapons doesn't make you a Regional Power! What makes Turkey important is her strategic location and alliance with the West. In a region which is basically the energy hub of the world.

The nuclear weapons were also tested by The Australian Defence Forces. The Australian Army and RAAF were all involved. Many of our ex service personell have had a higher than usual susceptibility to cancer.

That arrangement you talk about does not include Australia, because we are able to take delivery of more than 100 or so nuclear devices at a moments notice, even without congressional approval, and despite Australia being a signatory to the nuclear non proliferation treaty.

Some countries don't need agreements and Australia is one of those countries and Israel is another...
