Does anyone have any experience in flying with Cyprus Turkish Airlines ?

Yes. I fly with them about every three months to the UK and back and have been doing so for last 2.5 years - have probably taken 10-12 filghts with them in this time.

I personally have had no problems flying with CTA. I have never had a delay over an hour in all these flights in either direction. It is true that the food is very poor and the stewardess are not renouned for their friendly smiling service - but to me these things are of little importance vs getting where I want to go on time or nearly on time. This is my personal experience.

I am aware of reports from others of 'nightmare' journies with CTA - long delays no inforamtion and no 'customer care' during the delays - but personaly have not experienced this (touch wood).

When we decided to have our vacation in unspoiled North Cyprus, our agency tried to book Turkish Airlines. We had flown them before and we were very content with their professionalism. No seats were available, hence we ended up with Cyprus Turkish Airlines instead. Aircraft and punctuality of flights were good, but service wise, they are between late East German Airlines (Interflug) and Air France. I believe the cabin crew must have been condemned to work there. They all seemed to hate their jobs. What a contradiction with our great vacation in North Cyprus! Next time, we will take Turkish Airlines.

I can't see anything "strange" with the use of the language....
But then again, I'm a foreigner.

i have flown with Cyprus Turkish Airlines many many times!!! well... their not the best but they get you there and back resonably safely. but its now actually easier, quicker and cheaper to fly from the UK to Larnaca and get a taxi (from the north) across. i go as a big family and ended up saving a lot of money the flight was so much better the food was nice and there was a good film on. its also over an hour shorter flight time. i well recomment it. i flew with helios and then got a taxi from Bird in girne and will probably be using this in the future!!!
