GAMBIA: “WE WILL RECOGNIZE THE TRNC”

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

lol learned this new.
what the hell are we doing in gambia.
It should be related to ISAF :(

Lol I don't think this has to do with the force in Afghanistan! Anyways, I think these Turkish officers were part of the UN force in the Gambia. I do not know this very well but I remember Gambian soldiers marching and singing "yaylalar yaylalar"...

i think there was a turkish cpriot graduate student in my university who studied at EMU (eastern med. university right?) its funny cause the only 2 cypriots in my uni (GC and TC) lived in the same building. small world hehe.

People have been promising to help me finance my survey projects for some time now, but the money hasn't exactly been flowing in ... do you get where I am going with this analogy?

It is easy to talk about recognizing the "TRNC", but when a government gets into the technicalities of it, they usually realise that it it extremely difficult to do without getting into serious trouble in the international scene. There are UN security council resolutions that forbid the recognition of the "TRNC", and no country would lightly ignore these. People can say what they like, but when it comes to actually doing it, that's a different story.

My bet is, in a year or two you will still be waiting for the recognition from Gambia.

Mr cannedmoose

Of all trhe current u8n iversioties in the north, many consider it to be the best, Clearly this will have a lot to do with your area of study,

You might want to wait a bit for the opening of The Middle East Technical University Kalkanli campus, probably enrolling now for Sept.2005

Both have web sites that may give you more information.

I don't want to enrol SP, I'm planning on seeing if I can arrange an academic visit, then I'll ask my uni if they would be able to accommodate a visitor from there in exchange in the future...
