President Christofias, in an interview last evening with CyBC, claimed to be seeing some logic in Mr. Talat’s formula in which he (Talat) maintains that the more the departure from a 50:50 share in the federal government and institutions, the more the powers and authorities the TC constituent state should “retain,” even up to the extent that it may as well be looked upon as an almost sovereign “nation-state” into a look like confederation.
Well, Mr. Christofias, the more I hear your nonsense, the more I regret it for not voting for your opponent, instead of casting a blank ballot. Let me though tell you a few more logics, which you seem to be failing to comprehend -set aside rubbing into Talat’s face. The other logical formula, Mr. Christofias, says that the more the powers vested into the constituent states, and the stronger the bi-zonality notion to become, the less the territory -including the vital coastlines, should become! Therefore, Mr. Christofias, it is about time you explain to your friend, Mr. Talat, in no uncertain terms, that the only possibility you will ever come anywhere near his one-sided “BBF” and “reunification” views, is if his side accepts the reduction of the territory to be part of the TC state, down to less than 20% of the island’s territory and its coastlines. This is the logic you should be practicing, Mr. Christofias, and not the ridiculous equations that Mr. Talat serves you with, and which you so besottingly seem to swallow.
The other day he said the inimitable, that "as long as he is the president, and no matter how much it will be hurting some people, he won’t apply for a membership in the Partnership for Peace (PfP) association," because it is -according to his theory, a NATO affiliated association. And this, despite the fact that all other EU member States are already members of it, plus Russia itself. Yes Sir, Heil Hitler!
