How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

You’re so incompatible with Cyprus I don’t know what the hell you’re doing here VP because I saw hundreds of TCs buying xmas stuff…

Do yourself and your family a favor and return to Turkey…

Thats for the new year not christmas, maybe you are the ones not compatible to Cyprus, do you celebrate Kurban or Şeker Bayram?

Kids all over the world like xmas for the obvious reasons... you don't have to be a Christian to have a xmas tree, exchange presents, etc. They're all pagan traditions anyways...

No, I don't know what those bayrams are.

You seem awfully preoccupied lately by a constitution you don’t recognize… what gives?

I did hear that Turkish-Cypriot owned land was expropriated for Larnaca Airport. If this is true, then the Turkish-Cypriot use of Greek Cypriot land for Ercan/Tymbou really isn't anything for the Greek-Cypriots to point their finger at. Still, since I don't know the full details of the Larnaca Airport land situation, could someone out there enlighten me as to the details?

VP had just as much Christmas celebrations in his first 30 years of his life living in the UK as anyone else, and old "habits" being difficult to get rid off, I'm sure he still celebrates it in some fashion with his family in the "trnc". In a Unified Cyprus, the Federal Government will shut down for Christmas and Easter which will effect all TC's working in the Federal Government, whom I'm sure will not mind staying at home and getting paid for it at the same time whether they will themselves celebrate these holidays or not.

My twin sister who has lived in Turkey for the last 30+ years and reads the Kuran everyday, was looking forward to coming to London this Christmas Season to celebrate it with the rest of the family, but due to health reasons, she was not able to. She had only lived in the UK for 6 years as a teenager, but still missed that Christmas spirit and wanted to be with the family. Almost all TC's in the UK celebrate Christmas in a non religious way, of course. I'm sure many TC's in the "trnc" who has lived abroad also celebrate Christmas in some fashion, even if it means going to the south to enjoy it.

I think you will find the majority of people in the world that celebrate Christmas, do it in a non-religious way.

Very few people take part in any form of religious ceremony at this time.

Has anyone visited Dubai in recent years, in the lead-up to Xmas ?
All the shops and shopping malls are are heavily adorned with lights and Xmas decorations. Some might consider this strange in a Muslim country, and where the indiginous Arab citizens are a minority in their own country.
I admire their attitude - even if it is to attract even more foreigners (and their money), and make them feel at home.
Live and let live.

I have given you more than you have asked for, VP, but it's not enough for you, so let me tackle your question from another angle, shall I.

Why don't you give me a list of all the things that the TC's are demanding that does not violate any Cypriots Democratic and Human Rights along with International Laws, and I will support those demands, and if the GC's does not support those TC's demands that does not violate those principles as described above, then I will fault them for not doing so.

Now, give me your list please.!

Viewpoint wrote:Kikapu you are an expert at avoiding or clouding any questions you are unable to answer as is the case here, there are no issues where you support the TC stance opposing any GC viewpoint. You are 100% behind whatever the GC put forward irrelevant of whether its places TCs the people you claim are your community at the mercy of a hostile and revenge seeking GC community.

I'm still waiting for your list VP. I'm eagerly waiting to support all TC's demands that you have asked me to do so, so let me see all those demands that does not violate any Cypriots Democratic and Human Rights as well as International Laws which will need to conform to the EU rules, because that's where we want to live, so lets see the list of your demands, before you can pass judgement on me for refusing in wanting anything beneficial for my community, the TC's.!

I saw a brief article in the Yeni Düzen newspaper recently reporting that the Forestry Department would supply tall saplings rather than felled trees this year for people to use as "new year trees". Even if they call them "new year trees" rather than "Christmas trees", this is certainly not an Islamic or traditional Turkish custom. Doesntmatter would have a heart attack if he heard. Where does this fit into the Turkish-Islamic synthesis?
