TALAT CHRISTMAS MESSAGE

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

TALAT CHRISTMAS MESSAGE

Postby halil » Wed Dec 24, 2008 7:41 pm

President Mehmet Ali Talat issued a message of greetings and best wishes to Christians and Greek Cypriot’s on the island.

In his message he said ‘as we enter the holiday season, I wish to express my warmest greetings and best wishes to all Christians living in the TRNC and the Greek Cypriots on the island, as well as everyone throughout the world, who will be celebrating Christmas this week.”

President Talat said he looked forward to a new year.

“Our efforts in the ongoing negotiations process will lead to a comprehensive solution, marking a beginning for a peaceful and prosperous Cyprus free of all the current problems. May we all live in a world where everyone, irrespective of their religion, language, gender and race live in peace and harmony with each other and with nature’.

Tomorrow Christians all over the world will be celebrating Christmas Day, the day Jesus was born.

Whilst I couldn't care less for this scout leader and his opportunist's messages; one thing he can do, if he was honest, is admit that the only current problem in Cyprus, is the presence of Turkey.

Actually, Talat has forgot to mention that a lot of Muslims also celebrate Christmas, such as almost all Turkish Cypriots living in the UK and all around the world.!

Nice sentiment, for a Muslim to wish Christians a happy hoilday.

We should all have a little more tolerance, especially at this time of year. As it has been said, "peace & goodwill to all"
