How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Dr Andreas Demetriou, Minister of Education and Culture, said today

Yes, racism exists and it is quite serious. We need to confess this in order to tackle the problem

This Minister should have asked GR first (perhaps Oracle and Paphitis without forgetting Piratis) before making such wild claims.

All it takes is a bad judgment by the referee to ignite a fight between the two sides and that’s why I can’t accept this incident as a purely racist one. It started right after the final whistle and that I believe, is key in this case…

it is this atitude to refuse to believe the truth that really is the geeks/cypriots problem. you have no shame, you will twist the story, you wil bend it and reshape it to distort. Poor Tcs, with crooks leike you they have mountain to climb.

Why didn't they beat up the black kid the moment they laid eyes on him before the game began? Now THAT would've been PURE RACISM.

Condemning this action is NOT a problem for me, but CLASSIFYING IT the way Turkish Cypriots would like to… definitely IS.

You lot are not as smart as you seem to think.

Why do you people just continue to make excuses? There is an underlying threat in a united Cyprus which we are trying to point out, what will you do if these incidents occur against TCs and the police take no actions will you still be making excuses or turning a blind eye?

I don't just take you for a fool but a complete idiot and here's why...

1. It’s obviously way beyond you that I am NOT Greek… but will you ever learn?

2. You complain of "numerical advantage" yet easily forget how the "TRNC" was acquired…

3. This thread, touted as "Racism in South Cyprus getting worse" has fallen flat on its face because of the eagerness of the poster to falsely undermine the RoC.

Better luck next time…
