Nicosia doesn't even make the list.

Get into the habbit of READING your suggested links...

A new Mercer study ranks cities by the quality of life they offer expatriate executives and their families across the world What foreign postings are most coveted by expatriate executives?

Actually if you go to the businessweek list and follow the link to the whole list Nicosia is nowhere in it even though the list ends with Baghdad as last. So unless you consider Nicosia a less liveable place to live in than Baghdad someone did not bother doing any research on Cyprus.

That just say's a lot about Nicosia. 8)

insulting your capital city is a little like insulting your whole country.

That's only because he's a pushto-galamaras...

ZHTO OI KALAMAROUES

Never had one , are they hot and spicy or do you eat them cold !

Very Hot and Spicy! 8)

You would be happy to notice that Athens made the list.

And after seeing all the infrastructure they built in readiness for the 2004 Olympics, I am not surprised that Athens is so high up the list. 8)

Oh and one more thing. Athens is on the coast.

Athens is a smoldering dump! It's just as well her citizens decided to cleanse her...

Atleast it is not a dump like Nicosia is.

Plant some trees for heavens sake.

As opposed to the tropical rainforest you have in Paphos? :?

In Pahos we have lots of rocks which drop into a deep blue bliss, called an ocean!

Not sure where exactly you think Cyprus is re Paphitoui but we no have oceans here.

Quite honestly, you are not giving us much to go by. The best place for somebody who wants to live in an idyllic rural setting and write their memoirs will be quite different from the best place for somebody who wants to work as a lifeguard and have an exciting night life.

As I understand it, you want to find a job as a painter. If so, the best city will be the city in which you are able to find a job. The construction sector seems to be holding out better against the downturn here in Limassol than in most parts oft he island, which may mean that you have a better chance of finding a job here, given that a lot of new houses and flats are being built that will require painting and decorating before they can be used.

In front of the district office, Anexartisias Street.

The highest point in Cyprus, the peak of Troodos, is also in Limassol district. Another one for Nicosia to put in its pipe and smoke.
