Paphos, is a bizarre mix of Cypriot peasants and British pensioners ripping each other off over crappy little block-shacks they like to call “villas” because you end up sitting on one.

Limassol, is the land of the mobsters, hooligans, beach bums, tourists, and some more Cypriots peasants who think they are not.

Larnaca, being the least progressive, is the land of the lazy and least charismatic Cypriot peasants who haven’t budged an inch since the middle of the last century.

Nicosia, is the cultured, educated, refined, entertaining, and most interesting place to be if you’re not a peasant; who get lost easily here and only decide to ask for directions when looking for an exit.

if nicosia was such an interesting place it would at least have half the tourists Limassol or other cities have every year.
limassol is the best city of cyprus and everyone knows it
far more civilized and advanced than nicosia in most levels
nicosia is the only city of cyprus with no beaches and no apparent greenery (being part of an ISLAND)
nicosia needs to be demolished and re-constructed, those ugly buildings from the 70's are ruining the city's image
nicosians need to stop calling 30 small shops under a roof a 'mall'
the real mall is being finished in limassol, with over 100 shops
now go to sleep, and don't set the alarm, the sweet sound of your hodgas will wake you up

That’s based on the assumption that the fleabag summer tourists that come here are interesting themselves so they know all about interesting places! When I go on a holiday to another country the last thing I want to do is visit its beaches!

limassol is the best city of cyprus and everyone knows it

I believe you because “everyone knows” you’ve gone round and asked them all and it was a unanimous decision!

far more civilized and advanced than nicosia in most levels

All one can do here is...

nicosia is the only city of cyprus with no beaches and no apparent greenery (being part of an ISLAND)

Nicosia's natural evergreen forest Athalassa alone is about half the size of Limassol...

nicosia needs to be demolished and re-constructed, those ugly buildings from the 70's are ruining the city's image

Limassol hasn't got a "green line" hanging off its balls has it? If you move away from the "green line" you should be right...

nicosians need to stop calling 30 small shops under a roof a 'mall'
the real mall is being finished in limassol, with over 100 shops

By the time a "mall" is finished in Limassol there'll be another 3 here...

now go to sleep, and don't set the alarm, the sweet sound of your hodgas will wake you up

No need to be envious, Limassol has an entire suburb set aside for the Hodjas they call the "Dourtzika"! In case you missed it it's close to "Ntziamoua"!

Nicosia has a population of 300,000 and next up is Limassol with half as many so you figure it out...

8. Theatres
9. Decent football and sports stadiums
10. International exhibitions

12. The infamous demarcation line
13. The Archbishop’s palace
