There is no EU membership for Turkey and Turkish people know that well

Do you know how much it means for Turkey financially to have an accession process with the EU? .

Yes I know.

Why do you think Turks bother so much with EU then? Just for fun? .
For money.
As far as UK goes, it is not just up to us to have a good relationship. If they don't want to have a good relationship with RoC there is nothing we can do about it. We can only respond. They should know that there is a cost to pay.
what garbitsch write is also true.
We know we cant enter EU.(Should be blind)
And we try it, for the way of EU also benefit us.
Even If we dont enter EU, The way of entering EU help us, for our economic improvement.
That is the reason why we try to enter EU.
We dont see membership at the end of way.
But way help us alone also.

Maybe price for entering EU will exceed price of not entering EU.

So If I was you, I wont rely on EU much for the blackmailing Turkey.

I am not sure after 5 year(After some degree of economic improvement) still Turkish People want to enter EU.

Support of EU is decreasing with the improvement of economy.

Mr Murtaza

Unfortunately you may be right

If Frau Merkel gets into power she is no friend of Turkey

Early elections are proposed for September or October this year

If the elections are later than 3/10 then maybe......

In Cyprus we have a Cypriot version of Pastirma called Samarella.
It tastes so bad that it MUST be made from donkeys

Brother,
If you reeeeally want to know what is legal and what is illegal, take a visit at the European Court of Human Rights decision on the case of Cyprus vs. Turkey, which was ruled out against Turkey in year 2001.

or here,
Cyprus vs. Turkey,

And here is the website of the Council of Europe, which is the governing body of the ECHRs.

Do these cases have anything to do with the leagility or illegaility of US congressmen entering cyprus via the north?

No! The illegality of US congressmen entering Cyprus via the north is determined by the U.N. S.C. resolution No:550 and the international law in general, something whose existence you do not recognise, nor accept.

Yet the US state department denies there is any illegality in someone entering Cyprus via the North. The EU has stopped the RoC prosecuting EU citizens for this 'illegality' (under RoC law). Hundreds of thousands break this 'law' (and again the idea that UN security council resolutions represent 'law' is itself a mis conception) yet no one is prosecuted. So maybe the problem here is with your ideas of legailty and not mine and the rest of the worlds?
