The most disturbing sign at the funeral was Dr Lyssarides who spoke on the occasion. We all know that Lyssarides hated his guts yet hypocrisy has no bounds in this banana republic. Omirou too, who until recently called him a "stupid know-all tweed" shed his crocodile tears for the sake of the cameras. Bloody hypocrites!
I know for a fact that Papadopoulos had more respect for his serious political opponents. I watched him cry and make an impromptu speach at the funeral of Andreas Ziartides who as the leader of PEO and father of trade unionism in Cyprus (many Turkish Cypriots have fond memories of this great man) helped Papadopoulos a great deal in his early days as Minister of Labour in the first RoC government. Papadopoulos, to his credit, recognised this and always honoured Ziartides.
Don't you believe that there is misery in Cyprus?
