Downer mustn't find out

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Downer mustn't find out

Postby halil » Mon Dec 15, 2008 9:04 pm

Very interesting article by Alekkos Konstantinides .....

published in Cyprus Dialoque ................

Downer mustn't find out

Demetris Christofias and Mehmet Ali Talat should discuss how to impose a communist system in Cyprus (without telling Taye Brook Zerihoun or Alexander Downer) in one of their face to face meetings.

Why ? Because Akel leadership is determined to adopt as defined by Christofias a 'SOCIALIST REGIME' in Cyprus right after a solution to Cyprus problem .I mean the kind of socialist regime that existed in former Soviet Union and still exist in Cuba.

In short, this is Christofias's priority and he will have to take up the matter with his comrade Talat in one of their future meetings . Who knows ? perhaps there will be a convergence of views on this issue. However ,they should take care that Downer does not find out .

:!: :?:  :o  :?

Very interesting? :? It reminds me of the sort of ill-conceived crap so typical of Bananiot…

Christofias will be lucky to win another term let alone implement anything resembling the above...

Halil,

I think that the 'communist conspiracy' theory is a little far-fetched. Besides, given Turkey's disdain for communism, there it little chance of that political philosophy taking root north of the Green Line...

If Alekkos Konstantinides doesn't want Downer to find out ... surely he (AK) must be pretty confident Downer never reads his (AK's) articles

I don't think so.

He is a very laid back carefree individual. He is also a very astute diplomat.

Deep down, I am sure he doesn't really give a damn either. He will leave it up to Christofias and Talat, and he will provide minimal guidance. I think he would much rather play Golf, especially as he too can see the writing on the wall.

He has many advisors working for him from Australia. Some of the best and most recognised intellectuals in academia.

I also have experienced at what he is really like. He is very nice, and you would like him too if you were fortunate enough to meet him.

When he has had a few, he will absolutely have you in stitches.

Yes, I am a Liberal Member, and as such I have met him a few times. The last time was in October.
