do you believe cypriots are turkish and greeks, do you believe our motherland is turkey and greece, do you believe our ancesters are from greece and turkey

i cannot put this to you in a more simpler way ?????????????

Now I'll put you straight ... You did not provide any scientific evidence which proved that Cypriots constitute a different race to Turks or Greeks (such as was your premise). That is fine, there is a lot of misinformation out there, developed by Eugenicists and racists. If you could understand the DNA studies done so far, you would see that there is only ONE Human Race. The rest is politics.

I do not believe in any "motherlands" because our culture of democracy and rightful living was forged over thousands of years in partnership with the people we mixed most with (over > 10,000 years). We have been inhabiting not just Cyprus but a wide expanse, which encompassed eventually, the Hellenistic world.

That was the case for thousands of years until just a few Centuries ago, we were faced with a sweep of people, who had been living in a distant territorial domain and who had forged different cultural norms who came to take what we had set-up, painstakingly over that time, by "smash and grab" and pre dark-age methods.

The British were familiar with this also, in their Empire building, and the Turks worked in parallel. Unfortunately for us both these Empires (Ottoman and British) employed methods that we had been civilising ourselves against, and so were incompatible with our, by then, well-established cultural norms.

We in Cyprus, are still in the process of reversing these latter-day invasions, from the inheritors and practitioners of those habits; the Turks and the Empire-building Brits (who still retain a foothold in our land).
