Does Isolation on "TCs" Mean Recognition?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Greek Cypriots continue to falsely propagate that North Cyprus is "illegally occupied".

lets start with this. Why is the north not illegally occupied?

DT Said:
Scream and shout all you want, facts don't change, you're sitting on stolen property and we'll make life as difficult as possible until you give it back.

Come on DT, are you trying to tell us Turkish Cypriots that the Airport in Larnaca is NOT on pre-owned Turkish Cypriot land? This is just one of the endless arguements that never get resolved!

The Clear Majority of the most important areas "OCCUPIED" and or "DEVELOPED" by the Greek Cypriots in South Cyprus are on pre-owned Turkish Cypriot land - even Papadopoulos knows that - which is why he never dared to sit in front of us Turkish Cypriots and discuss the Property issue.

That particular record you've incorrectly said above has been played over and over again, far too many times. Perhaps it's about time you've upgraded to CD or iPOD Format - Jesus DT, do you guys never give up and want to move forward.

Northern Cyprus is Turkish Cypriot, period. If you want to broker a deal, you must be willing to bend your back a little, otherwise you'll suddenly wake up one day to perhaps a very hostile Turkish Cypriot community.

We can only wait so much DT - and time is running out! As soon as the CTP party is voted out (which will certainly be in next year's elections), and the Presidential posit is replaced in 2010 by an UBP member, which will obviously naturally follow, I honestly believe that that will be the end of any future UN peace negotiations.

Good will can only be massaged in!

Under which government would the responsibility of Tymbou airport fall under?

The answer is simple, where I would like to use Taiwan as an example.

In the eyes of the Turkish Cypriots it will be under the TRNC, but obviously for the rest it will be the "Administration of Northern Cyprus". Again, as similar to the case of Taiwan, there are always ways around NOT ISOLATING people if you particularly do not want to Recognise their self-determined Republic state, or if it is disputed, or waiting (waiting for an overall comprehensive agreement).

All I am saying is that the "Isolation" has no grounding, it is illegal, and should not be allowed to continue. If it's the recognition of the TRNC the Greek Cypriot are afraid of, then don't recognise us - it shouldn't affect our right to trade.

Look at it this way, the GCs will never refer to "Tymbou" as "Ercan", so, let it be. Let Ercan be be known as "Tymbou" to the GCs, let Northern Cyprus, to the GCs be known as "The Occupied Area", why should that constitute the right to isolate the ENTIRE Turkish Cypriot people of their humanitarian rights to trade and interact with the world?

The current policy adopted by the Greek Cypriots is obviously damaging in more areas than they fully realise, and convincing the EU in following the same. It's hilarious! Their actions almost seem childish - who really are the decision makers of these people?

And they accuse Turkey for being un-democratic! What a shame the EU and Greek Cypriots act against the Turkish Cypriots far worse than the Republic of Turkey - Shame on them, you!

MrH, I do not mean to be rude to you but since you have "blown up my balls" with your continuing melodramatic ranting, I am compelled to say this to you. We do not give a shit about your isolation, nor will as GCs every allow its ending before an agreed solution to the Cyprus issue is reached; in the same way that you, your community and your “motherland” leaderships do not give a shit about the ending of economic isolation that you continue to maintain on 200,000 GCs that you have illegally expelled from the north, and keep away from their usurped homes, properties, hotels, factories and other business, and from their entire cultural heritage that is spread all around the occupied north!

In the same way that you do not give a shit about reestablishing all or any of the above human rights violations and economic isolation to the GC refuges, we also do not give a shit about your isolation in all fields and spheres of economic and social activities with the rest of the world!

I hope I was clear enough to you, and there is no point of you crying all the time in this forum.

Thanks mate, that was just the kind of response I was waiting for by person as low as you. How the hell President Talat is going to convince the Turkish Cypriots back home to agree to a compromised Federal State with such a "Hostile", and "Single-minded" load of Greek Cypriots beats the crap out of me.

I guess you agree to Parition then? As there clearly isn't any hope of any other kind of solution.

Mr H you said "Northern Cyprus is Turkish Cypriot, period." Well that just about sums you up, doesn't it. It's another way of saying "We will keep what the Turkish army has taken by force" And yet you expect "isolation" to be lifted. You must live in a fantasy world - keep dreaming

Both sides have issues with each other, just as you ask that "isolation" be lifted so I could ask that all settlers be sent back to Turkey or that all 200,000 GC refugees be allowed home. Isolation will only go when both sides reach a fair and just settlement or when one side throws in the towel, realistically - never

I could have said to you, "in the same way that Christofias is going to convince the Greek Cypriots to agree to a compromised Federal State with such an unreasonable and single-minded load of Turkish Cypriots;" however, no need to worry, as Turkey -when she decides that she no longer can tolerate the Cyprus issue, will simply order you, and you will simply obey, whether you like it or not! I think in Turkish you call it "eşek kibi!" Do not forget that without feeling Turkey's tanks and bayonets forming a wall behind which you hide, you would not have raised even 1% of all those illegitimate demands you have been doing so, towards a solution!

Because we, Turkish Cypriots, do not view it as an "Occupation", but more as an invitation.

It is truly the "Doing" of Greek Cypriot persistence, in our eyes to not see the realities - and here it is, I'll be very brief.

WE, TCs, say that Cyprus is an Island with TWO EQUAL PARTNER Peoples, while the GCs believe that we should remain as a Protected Minority under a Majority GC lead government.

That's Just about it.
