This should answer your question regarding Turkish Cypriot Properties in the unoccupied area…

Bloody hell GR. No wonder I have been waiting for my deeds for the last three years.

If it is any consolation to you, I have been waiting for my title deeds for about 2 years and 10 months. There are huge backlogs of deeds waiting to be issued. I don't want to scare you, but I have also heard that the Larnaka land registry office is even less efficient than the one in Limassol.

Tim, my deeds and inheritance will be dealt by different offices as indicated by GRs post. Yesterday my Solicitor from Larnaca confirmed that, as I did raise the question of the enormous numbers of expat brits waiting for their deeds.

Good news. I sincerely wish you the best of luck. I know your village from passing through it on the way to Larnaca. As I am sure you know, there has been a lot of development and it has surely changed beyond all recognition. I hope you find tranquillity and peace of mind there when you are finally able to return home.

Deniz, is your house still standing and in good condition (if that is not a personal question)?

Yes.

Refugees from the North are living there. Most of the outhouses have collapsed. They were of mud brick. The newer sections made of stone are in good shape. That is not the issue. That is even more complicated. The Big house will be split fourways, but we are not pushing on that one. Sorting that one out entails a WW IV scenario.

The land is on the main Larnaka - Limassol road. My father had an Inn there, long gone (prior to 1963). The new motorway passes through part of the land.
