I'll put it simply. Are there people arriving in droves ( A large mass of people moving or acting as a body). to the "trnc" now?

You tell me what you think droves are and I will answer your question...I didn't give numbers but examples and what I see and what I hear from others......Sure ther are some that have gone and come back....Who said it was all success...The gist of what I am saying is that there is an air of change...Expectations may exceed realities....My youngest sister has built an apartment block which is self sufficient with a waiting list of students....Two more are going up soon.....

You are trying too hard to find something wrong with what I say DT...You will blow a gasket if you are not careful.....Perhaps looking at a few typos will be time better spent.....

Have you heard about the new hotel that Nadir is building

Is your sister building on GC land?

Yeh DT  All the land is GC

You seem to have disappeared but I have a question for you also....Are there GC politicians in TC positions in government in the so called "RoC"... :?:

Well is she?

As for your question, the seats in parliament for the TC deputies are kept empty. The position of VP is also not filled by anyone.

I think the     Should have answered your question DT...But for your you will will give you a definite..OXI!!!!

Nice choice of words as to "deputies" Blimey mate...How the hell does your government function????? 8)

Off to work now.........................Good morning.

Seriously you need to read up a little bit and expland that vocabulary if we're gonna be doing this. All members of the house are refered to as deputies, MP's or mafiozi.

As for your sister, would it matter to you if she built on GC land?

So basically, the RoC is willing to offer the TCs the complete provisions of the 1959 Zurich Agreement? Is that correct?

I believe so as long as provisions are made that stop one community from bringing the entire govt machine to a standstill because Turkey requires a larger continental shelf.

Zan wrote the following in a different thread:

I have proposals that are unachievable as in the return to the Zurich agreement in full as if nothing has happened or the most sensible in that we make a clean break and get on with our lives with those that have lost land to get compensation......realitic compensation, of which my family are one.

He seems to be proposing 2 types of solution. Either:

1. The return to The Zurich Agreement in full, or
2. Permanent Partition.

You seem to think that the Zurich Agreement is on offer, and I tend to agree with this as well.

Given that many TCs are asking for their Zurich Agreement rights, and the RoC is willing to accommodate this, then why is The Cyprus Problem not solved? :?

Because Turkey wants more for herself than what was offered to TC's with Zurich Agreement rights.
and since Turkey is in the driving seat,we keep going round & round in circles....Kapische?

Well, I really do know the answer to my questions, just want some confirmation.

Turkey is one thing.

But do you think that Zan claiming his 1959 Zurich Agreement rights are a front to lay blame for the current impasse upon the RoC? He seems to think that the RoC has taken away his constitutional rights in 1963 and that the RoC is unwilling to give them back.

Is he just saying this to promote his "real" agenda of Permanent Partition and recognition of the "trnc"?

I am finding it very difficult to understand where he is comming from. :?

That's perfectly understandable given that he comes from a nut house...

So really, the TCs don't come into the equation at all.

It is all about Turkey protecting her interests by keeping a stranglehold on the island, and the neo partitionists pushing a false agenda of wanting their 1960 Zurich Rights, which are protected to this very day by the RoC, should the TCs demand a return to the 1960 state of affairs.

I just find their argument very contradictory. They keep demanding a return to the Zurich Agreement, but have no intention of doing so, as they prefer to strive for recognition and legalising the invasion.

The whole situation is like pissing in the wind. The Neo Partitionists have totally lost the plot. Their arguments are so false.
