Are you contending that the family in Palekythro massacred by Turkish Cypriot teenagers in July 1974 were killed by GCs. They were listed as missing until lasty year.

The people killed during the coup are known and their bodies claimed. It is people killed after July 20 who are missing and unaccounted for. Many of them were seen alive and captured by Turkish troops. This much was admitted by Denktash before he retired and he even went as far as blaming TC irregulars for the murders.

The Greek Coup was an entirely GC event and purely targeted the Cypriot Government. The coupists did not deliberately target civilians. They may have targeted certain inner circle Makarios supporters, politicians, KYP security attaché to Makarios, Cypriot Police and some senior leftist activists. It had collapsed in less than 5 days.

The death toll from the coup itself was around 100 individuals from both sides. The figure of 2,000 touted by Zan is ludicrous. The coupists by no means killed an average of 400 persons each day. There was very little bloodshed on the streets of Cyprus.

I am very realistic as to the likelihood of a solution all due to the recalcitrance of people such as yourself. Other TCs such as Deniz, Iceman etc have had no issues whatsoever when dealing with the RoC or GCs in general.

On 5th March 1996, US Ambassador Ledsky confirmed that there is no evidence that any of the missing persons is still alive.

I am very realistic as to the likelihood of a solution all due to the recalcitrance of people such as yourself. Other TCs such as Deniz, Iceman etc have had no issues whatsoever when dealing with the RoC or GCs in general.

As long as you are happy with that reality you have made for yourself then that is all that matters.....The real fact is that I am dealing with the "RoC".....In their face.......
