‘They have it all wrong’

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

And were will they find all these money?

Sure we as united cypriots could work to find these funds from the international community, one of the biggest contributors would also have to be Turkey, would this go some way to quenching your thirst for revenge? (thats an impression many GCs give including yourself)

Do you know that you (TCs) have already developed or sold to foreigners (in terms of real estate value,) by far more GC land, than what you have left in the south?

Please allow for the propoganda element, you are right there are holiday homes being built for sale to foreigners, this figure is being blown out of all proportion to ignite your emotions and the current GCs law suits euphoria is a show to try and stop these sales through worls attention, do you feel one english person will be arrested??? try it and see the consquences, wont be a pretty picture. Just consider for one second if this campaign against foreign buyers backfires and British courts put on hold the orams case, sales and prices will rocket in the north, is this what GCs really want??? These courts cases will do more harm than good.

We thought about it and we realised that what you say will not happen.

You actually want to say an "agreement" according to your measures and standards!

Not only mine, all of TC with exceptions.

Listen, I am not saying nobody will return to his house. Of course, there will some returns, but if you say all of them should, we can never have an agreement.

TC will sacrify all of its rights at south as well of course.

references please?

If that is correct the ones who currently keep these places will have compensate GC after an agreement.

Kifeas
From the moment you are not willing to accept that the continuation of this illegal looting of GC properties that currently takes place, should immediately be stopped because it ruins any solution prospects, I am not willing to put down any "nationalistic" feelings or accept to "sell out" my legal property rights, either

I agree with you, what do we have to do to put a stop to the continuation of development, both leaders have to talk to each other and agree things, soon. Ill let you into a secret, I met Mr Talat a few days ago and asked him about this issue and why dont the 2 leaders meet to agree something on this issue, he said who should I meet with? Papadop doesnt accept me as leader and refuses to meet me, I have extended my hand only to have it refused. You should not always lay blame eleswhere look closer to home and apply pressure on your leader to return to the negotiating table.

I agree the two leaders should meet, and they will meet soon once the framework for new talks is finalised. However meet just to discuss and agree on the particular issue? On what terms? On what basis? To trade the suspension of the illegality regarding the construction on GC properties with something else? Direct trade perhaps?

When you want to meet someone, even for a coffee, you have to show first that you have the minimum respect for him /her. Talat doesn’t show such respect at all. What is the point of saying that you extend your hand for friendship, while before, at the same time and after your offer, you speak about the leader of the other community in the manner that Talat does so often?

Talat doesn't let a second day pass without accusing Papadopoullos for being a nationalist, a liar, and all the rest of complements (read slanders) that he makes for him and now complains that Papadopoullos doesn't want to meet him because he doesn't accept him as a leader?

Sorry for my delay in answering but it seems you guys have been getting on fine without me.

Dear Kifeas

I understand your question now that you have clarified it, the lands in the north abondoned by the GC, are the legal owners of the properties, and that is fact but the unfortunate circumstances that we find ourselves in will eventually let some return and some will be compensated, wether this is morally right or wrong is not in our hands but for peace i am willing to give up my family lands but expect to be compensated

There is not much more i can say on the topic but that hopefully all that want to return will be given the chance and those who do not are fully compensated.

 Excuses, excuses. He just hopes that we and Turkey will become weaker in time. That's why he is running away. I can understand he considers GC's benefit in his own way but at least accept this fact.
