The paranoia runs deep. This whole thread was just a trap for us to see the evil inner workings of Zan's mind. He says he knew it all along .. yet still fell head first into the mire (of his own making)

Maybe you are just anxious for TPap to pass on, so that you can finally return to Cyprus, because that is all that is keeping you away, right Zan?

Wrong Stella......If you are really nice to DT then he might (if he hasn't already) tell you the real truth.....There is more to this story yet!!!!!! 8)

Strange that you should say that today.

Why would anyone announce someone as dead a week before he actually died?

Do you know what a life support machine is? It keeps your heart going and nothing else. To all intensive purposes the patient is as good as dead. Its the flick of the switch that does it. In my opinion, DT was not lying.

So what date will be written on to his death certificate, 12-12-08, the day he was put on life support machine or the day DT pronounced him dead?

Has ther ever been a case where a person who was on life support machine lived to tell the tale or do they all die after a while?

BTW, are you sure that a life support machine keeps only the heart going and nothing else?

The exact time of Ataturks death is also disputed. No big deal.

It depends on the doctor who 'called' it (it is timestamped), such a person will be remembered so; 12/12 is meaningful, and there can't be any kind of a dispute about anyone who dies under a doctor's supervision denizaksulu

Your concern to details is really touching.

Someone (other than DT) may have jumped the gun....perhaps the family wanted to control the 'time-stamp. Give it a rest. If you want the last word, I hope you have had it.

Ridiculous assertion there Deniz.

My father was on life support for the last two weeks of his life, and it was definitely a matter of where there's "life" there's hope, even though the doctors usually know there is no chance of recovery. They do however conduct a number of "experiments" for practical reasons at this "suspended" time in the future hope of reversing such sharp declines.

The time of uncertainty and hope has gone now and his family will be facing one of life's worst experiences so I hope their pain is as minimal as can be (but nothing will ease it, not even time, when it comes to losing a father IMO).
