Well let's hope it's a Mark Twain moment ... "News of my death have been greatly exaggerated!" ... for dear Papadopoulos.

Sad news for the Head of the Russian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Alexiy II who has died at the age of 79 years. Remembered for his staunch revival of Orthodoxy after communism ...

Very upsetting to hear Tassos leave us. My condolences to his family. May he rest in peace after fighting for freedom and never getting a chance to see Cyprus re-united.

There are a lot of souls in heaven who will be looking down on him right now, and it will be a hot night in hell, tonight.

Our first Koumbaros and Godfather of our son sadly passed away with lung cancer on 3rd November, but we did manage to get over to London to spend time with him in the hospice before the end. We have known him and his family since the fifties when we were all in London.
