Do TCs want to live in a GC state as a minority?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

fundamentally, the Greek Cypriots could not accept any powersharing
formula with the Turkish Cypriots on equal terms. They
could not tolerate it because they always saw themselves as superior.
They are the ones that are rich, powerful, the ones from this planet.
The Turkish Cypriots, on the other hand, were the Ottoman remnants,
ignorant, incapacitated, poor, ordinary people; population-wise they
were the minority. Therefore, they could not bring themsleves to
accept a power-sharing formula on equal terms. Greek sociologists
have conducted many studies in this field. They have studied the
matter themselves , this is what they identify in their scientific
researches. Consequently, Mr. Hristofias stated that in 1977, Makarios
III made a great concession by accepting an agreement including the
Turkish Cypriots’ managing the Greeks. Do you comprehend what he
means? There is going to be a two-regioned state, the Turkish would
manage the Greek living in the Northern part. Even this was a
suffering for them. …Even Papadopoulos is someone having an
ideology seeing all people as equal and brothers; and even he accepts
it as a suffering for Greek Cypriots to be managed by the Turkish
Cypriots. This is the reason why an agreement cannot be reached ..............

Do u need more fire

Thanks DT. I knew it from somewhere.

I am waiting for Kafenes to wake up and tell us whether he feels like a Cypriot. (or IS a Cypriot).

I have a feeling (having seen pictures of kafenes) that if anyone tells him he's NOT Cypriot it'll be the last thing that person says.

Is there a place called Armenia????? :?

Google it. Arent we going off on a tangent?

Just trying to make the point that if he wanted he could go home...He can tell people of his homeland...He can show his past......Why are we being asked to leave ourselves homeless and live in a Greek home???

Cyprus IS his home. Is Turkey your home?

In the Norththey indeed live in Greek homes. You have shot yourself in the foot Zan. That was careless.

I am a Turk from Cyprus...The chances that my blood line of Cypriot heritage is great with the way I look....I choose to be a Turkish Cypriot . I will not let go of that and become a token Greek...Where the hell have I shot myself in the foot.....

This is what you said Zan:

......Why are we being asked to leave ourselves homeless and live in a Greek home???

I am saying TCs are already living in GC homes in the North.

I get it now...... :? ..Do you have any sympathy for those living in Greek homes because they lost theirs???

Ofcourse I have sympathy for those who have lost their homes. I have sympathy for the original refugees who were rehoused in the GC homes, which was meant to be a temporary measure. Are you aware how many times these GC homes have changed hands?

What in nearly 40 years ?........How long did they expect these people to stay in limbo????? Why don't we just lay down and die?????

Zan, you asked me a question and I answered. You have been to Karpasia, you have seen whole areas /villages have been settled with settlers from Turkey. These people are not the displaced people from the south of Cyprus.

Gotta say good night now.

Good Night

They are there as a knock on effect of the Cyprob.....They are not there just to spite us or the GCs.......Just as bullets flew in both directions in the 60s.......Without them and Turkey we would be gone. I know you know that. It is just as justified as the GCs sitting in power in my home and removing me by force. If one is fixed then so can the other. The Turkish land that has hotels and roads and runways on it is no less sacred. Now people want us to go back to a point where we are fighting for our existence from within a Greek state. It reminds me of wrestling when a foul is committed and the ref makes them go back to a position with one on his knees and the other on top.....Bloody ridiculous!!!!

They don't.

The TCs just want a special status where everyone else have less rights than them. Democracy with a tilt!
