I am sure that most members of the forum are believers of evolutionism ...

It is not a matter of believing in evolution ... it is a matter of accepting the evidence or refuting it.

Evolution rests on evidence for which you may have to prepare yourself .... as opposed to accepting some-one's theory about a fantasy ... and without expecting evidence (much like reading a novel).

Blind faith is not comparable to an evidence based physical, changeable and testable proposal.

Believe in what your heart tells you not false prophets. Does Evolution exist because all I see is Devolution.

Refute the evidence for Evolution if you can, and even then it doesn't matter if all you need is blind faith and no evidence.

With Evolution, you can have both:

(1) Blind faith in Evolution ... because if it's good enough for religion, it should be good enough for Evolution.

But also, on top of that:

(2) Evidence, refutable and testable. Above and beyond what is presented for religion.

Take your choice ... just blind faith: or blind faith and / or evidence?

I don't "follow" Dawkins ... but I have read some of his books, as well as other Biologists (Stephen Jay Gould, Matt Ridley etc). They just provide extra fodder for thought. However the evidence for Evolution has not come from any of them but Aristotle, Wallace, Darwin and then from molecular evidence, a host of Geneticists/Palaeontologists.

What "evidence" is there for "Christianity"? Remember evidence is not just hearsay, or a written word. It has to stand up to scrutiny and testing, not resort to pure "belief" otherwise every single thing in one's imagination is as great as "God" ... which then nullifies his demand to be unique

You can test evolution scientifically (test-tube generation of pre-biotic molecules, assembly of cell-like structures, mutability of DNA, fossil dating and location in predictable sites etc).

People just don't want to be believe we are only bags of chemicals .... (fair enough, so long as they don't corrupt the world and set us back to thinking we are so special we can do anything we like, so long as it is in the name of GOD!)
