If Afrika is to be believed, the RoC Attorney General's Office is currently conducting an investigation into a complaint filed by relatives of those murdered in the villages of Maratha, Sandalaris and Aloa (names as they appear on my English-language map of Cyprus) in 1974.

Tim, I am sure there were TC survivors (at least one) who lived to tell what happened. One TC male pretended to be dead amongst the bodies. What ever happened with his testimony ?

It is all written In Sevgul Ulutag book. Some GC perverts used those 3 villages as their whore place. They were even sodomizing on TC boys. When they saw the invaders advancing they decided to wipe off the 3 villages to erase evidence.
The result? 1000s of under-aged GC girls were raped by the Turks in revenge.

The dates are wrong for this to be any form of "revenge" by Turks. More likely the other way around, or am I missing something?

Please reconsider your comment re: the dates. A lot of Greek reports say the Murataga/Sandallar massacre happened at or immediately after the TA actions. The rape of the young Greek girls can only have taken place after the military actions stopped/ceasefire.IMO.

Forgive me Deniz, but I assumed that July came before August. The dates I had in mind were that the Turkish Invasion and its horrors started on the 20th July 1974 and the villagers were killed, according to halil:

halil wrote:He went on saying that they were taken from their homes on the 14th of August after being told by the Greek Cypriots that they were moving to a safer place.

“However women and children were later killed in persecution” he added.

Dodgy dayes? Perhaps. Then we will have to find out the dates for the rapes. Its all horrible.

Lanet olsun.

Dodgy days? One or two days here and there perhaps, but there is a huge expanse between the initial Invasion on the 20th July and the normally accepted dates, as verified by halil, of 14th August and after. Or are you disputing that they even happened after the 20th July; perhaps pre-invasion? Now that would require fresh evidence ...

No Oracle, I am not disputing that these terrible things ever happened. We know the dates of the massacres at Murataga and Sandallar, lets have some dates for the rapes of the Greek girls. You are suggesting that Pyros assertions are wrong. I am trying to see how?

From what I understand, the allegation (by Sevgul Ulutag, ref: Pyrpolyzer) is that the GC girls were only raped by the Turkish soldiers as "revenge" for the Sandaller/Murutaga incidence. We now agree that the TC-village killings occurred on or about 14th August 1974. Ergo the GC women + girls were not raped by Turkish soldiers as "revenge" because these rapes (at least some) were catalogued as having happened before the TC-village killings.

For example there were reports of GC women being raped by at least 8th August 1974 ...

TC revenge or GC revenge, I will leave it to you to thrash it out with Pyro.

Its all terrible.

You were NOT supposed to be "partners in a Republic". Why should you be "partners" and those others should not? Whats is so special about your tiny community?

.

Everyone please take not if we are not seen as equal partners then there is nothing left to discuss obviously Rauf Denktas was right all along.

I was right all along. I have been saying this fact for years. You are not "partners" but a small ethnic minority who is collaborating with foreign imperialists in order to extract gains you do not deserve on the expense of the Cypriot people.

This is the crux of the Cyprus problem Gcs do not see us as equal partners but as just another minority and they expect us to give up the TRNC so the can take away all our rights and reduce us to minority status in a GC state run by GCs.

The crux of the problem is that since you came to our island you are oppressing us and you are having gains and privileges on our expense.

We are not living in the time of the Ottomans anymore and you can not have such privileges on our expense. It is about time to let Cyprus to be ruled democratically by its own people. You can have your one vote each as well, and nobody will deny to you your human or minority rights.

I do not expect you to do anything and I do not expect to ever come to any agreement with a criminal like yourself. I know very well that you want to steal our lands and take our rights. I don't expect that you will voluntarily accept anything else. We all know that you will not, so why do you keep telling us what has been obvious to us for centuries? You think we are stupid and we have not understood your intentions yet?

However we will continue to fight for justice and freedom and be certain that justice will in the end prevail and your illegal occupation will end either you like it or not.

The current situation is a result of your own input, you GCs and your dreams spawned the 1960 agreements, that was the only way to keep you people form gifting the island to another country. The current negotiations are also shaped by the need to balance out your people desire to dominate and discriminate against us, you are not trusted by us the Un the EU by Turkey the Brits...no one trusts your motives under a unitary state as they know it will not take long for you to dominate and get rid of the TCs population. think about this for a while as it is very important if we are to unite you will have to accept us as equal partners other wise we will never give up the TRNC recognized or not.

Whats the matter with you Piratis. You are always on about , 'since you came to Cyprus, you have been oppressing us' WTF. How were the TCs oppressing you. It was the administration, not the TCs. The TCs suffered with you as well. Perhaps or more likely you suffered at the hands of the church more than us. They were your tax collectors. And dont tell me about 1821. The Papas were deemed 'traitors' to the Ottomans.
