Well, that's how it use to be in the past, wasn’t it ? Well, at least with the TCs and the Turks and almost all Muslim countries. Still the case with many countries as well as in Turkey and in the TC community.!

BirKibrisli wrote:The 2 sides do not trust each other...They do not respect each other...They have very little understanding and sympathy for each other...They are deeply suspicious of each other's motives and good intentions...How can you possibly expect this union to work without some ground work, building bridges, improving trust and understanding...???? :? :?

Given the above, Bir, how do you expect them to have love and passion before the wedding.?? :? :? :?

No, what will get these two sides together initially is an offer of Just & Fair settlement which will benefit each side economically and politically if they truly want to remain as a "couple", and the True Federation will be a system where the two sides will be joint at the hip to each other. With such a method where everything is in the open as an open society, more and more trust will build over time, then they will give each other all the empathy and understand of their past mistakes to each other. You are expecting too much for empathy and understanding to happen when at the moment because they only care about their own miseries and not the miseries of others. I wish I was wrong, but since what you wish for has not already happened on a very large scale, it still has a long way to go before it does.

Lets not beat around the bush....Nothing will happen without a compromise...There is no mutual trust and respect...No amount of wishful thinking will make the TCs get back into this relationship unless their fundamental fears for their lives are guaranteed to their satisfaction,Kikapu...You are wasting your time and energy...The TCs will not listen to your arguments because they see no difference between yours and the GCs'...The same way the GCs will be deaf to Bananiot's arguments...You might have moved on but the average TC living day in day out in Cyprus have not... You can make a really good contribution on this forum if you started taking on some of the more extreme GC forumers here, who are openly insulting all things Turkish and TC...By remaining silent you give those comments your silent approval...That is what hurts most TCs here,I am sure... :(

Should Bananiot turn on VP then?

Id have no problem with that as I trust Bananiot and would respect his comments even if they were negative about my viewpoint.

You do a fine job insulting your people with the TOTAL BOLLOCKS you post!

If anything, it’s only a handful like Kikapu, Deniz, and Iceman that keep us from changing our protest banners from… “Turks out of Cyprus!” to “Turks and stupid Turkish Cypriots out of Cyprus!” so you should be grateful to them for giving YOU some dignity, let alone try to change them!

This from the biggest joker on the forum, you are a joke Bir is trying to put accross the view of many TCs living in the TRNC and show to Kikapu how biased he really is and why his arguement are not taken seriously by TCs as he considered to be a GC.

He probably get one field a week....now do you want the job?

VP, you are truelly talking rubbish, you are just looking for excuse after excuse to claim your partition dreams.

Look, when I worked in Nicosia, i had 2 TCs working for me, they used to travel all the way from Kyrenia, they would many times arrive late for work, I would always cut them slack over the other GCs / foreign workers, in fact I took these boys under my wing believe it or not. Your arguement is flawed, I know because I have been in a position to employ TCs and others. the ones suited to the job got it, whoever he was.

please don't keep going on about how we would shit all over the TCs, it is totally bollocks you are talking.

And what type of work do these TCs do?

Your party leader is an ex electrician. He started off somewhere, not like you who waits for a top job and top salary to work.

Nobody doubts the majority view of the criminal TCs, and we reserve the right to feel disgust toward them.

They were what you call labourers just like some of the GCs and the other foreigners. They were not particularly qualified and I could easily have replaced them if I felt like it as they were arriving late most days of the week. I chose not to as I appreciated the distance they had to travel, so I cut them some slack.

This is actual physical fact that your job fears are unfounded, just excuses to pus for your partitionist aims. And this is coming from someone, well you know well my thoughts on you lot.

Its called cheap labour, or even exploited labour, if you had nothing to gain you would have sacked them without batting an eyelid.

And when you say your close relatives have all moved on,what exactly do you mean??? Are they prepared to return to Cyprus and live with our GC compatriots if a solution is not found??? If not why not? If yes,why haven't they done so till now???I am assuming from your writings that most of your close family live overseas....Please correct me if I am wrong...

Yes my friend, I have moved on and so has all my close family members. We do not harbour any bad feelings towards anyone despite losing members from our extended family in the conflict, but then again, who hasn't from both sides on a small island like Cyprus. All my family from my father's side are in the UK as well as my sister in Turkey. They have built their lives in those countries, therefore that's where they will stay. On my mother's side of the family, they mostly live in the north as well as one or two in the UK. I have moved to few countries in the last 46 years since leaving Cyprus at age 9 and for me, if I ever do move back, it will be at later stage of my life. But if I were to move today to the RoC, I wouldn't have any concerns what so ever regarding my personal safety or being treated differently from anyone else in the south. I owe all this to my two weeks in Cyprus back in 2007 where I met so many GCs and never felt uncomfortable after the first initial day or two, and that was no thanks to the Fascists on this forum bad mouthing the GCs and their treatment of the TCs in the south. As you know, I wrote about that experience here on the forum, just like you wrote your experience of your trip to the south in 2008. Today, if I were to choose between living in the RoC as a EU member state or living in the north's corrupted society created by the TC leaders for the TCs, I would choose the south. However, if there is a peace settlement based on True Federation with True Democracy, Human Rights, International Laws and EU Principles, I wouldn't care where I lived in Cyprus, because I know, that if the individual state would fail my rights, the Federal Government won't. This is why we need a True Federation in Cyprus, just so that everyone's individual and constitutional rights will be protected.

I had a similar experience,Kikapu, and I also described it in my "dairy",but do you think 2 weeks as a tourist with your girlfriend (and I take it she is very swiss looking) are enough to make such an important decision...

Why do you feel the need to mention Kikapu’s girlfriend? Does it bother you that she may not be a Turk or a TC. You take it that she is very Swiss looking...SO??? Is he any less of a TC?

Bir, how times have changed...ehh? You fooled many in here thinking you were a moderate but your posts these past few weeks show otherwise.

All this hot air and very long post by Kikapu has anyone spotted just one pro TC stance or one criticism against the GC stance, throws his credibility right out of the window.

Thank god we have the TRNC and crazies like Kikapu are diaspora and will die there.

Ill try and answer for Bir seeing hes not around right now.

He referred to the Swiss girlfriend as that made Kikapu more acceptable in the south considering she looked more European as the GC economy relies on being good to tourists.

Bir has started to see the real face of GCs on this forum thats why his stance has changed more in line with the average TCs like myself.

Thank you VP, the voice of reason once again. And people like Bir say that your views are the views shared by the majority of TCs.

Is there any wonder why Kiks would rather live anywhere else but the "TRNC". I mean really, who can blame the guy.
