Everytime I visit the British Museum, I am filled with hatred towards those that have plundered our lands; be it Greece, Turkey or Cyprus.
Imagine a few greedy beggars selling a 'few' pieces of marble to the Franks and what do you get. A Complete Graeco/Roman Temple, in the middle of the BM. The almost complete temple of Pergamon (from Turkey) in the Berlin museum and the Elgin marbles. Melina Mercouri had my full support in her quest for the return of the Elgin Marbles. The UK has no excuse for not returning them.
They should petition Phil the Greek, perhaps he could use his 'influence' to get them returned to the most logical place.
