EU COMMISSIONER IN CHARGE OF EDUCATION, TRAINING AND CULTURE TO HOLD CONTACTS ON BOTH SIDES OF DIVIDE

The European Commissioner in Charge of Education, Training and Culture Jan Figel is set to arrive in Cyprus today for contacts on both sides of the divide.
According to a statement from the EU representation office in Cyprus, the EU commissioner will be holding contacts and inspections on the island until this coming Tuesday the 2nd of December.

Within the framework of his contacts tomorrow, Commissioner Figel will be attending a bi-communal art exhibition in South Cyprus titled “Art without borders”.

The EU Commissioner who will also meet with the Greek Cypriot leader Demetris Christofias and Greek Cypriot Education Minister Andreas Demetriu will be holding a press conference at the EU House on Monday.
Figel will also get together with representatives and experts of the Lefkosa(Nicosia) Master Plan the same day.

The EU Commissioner will be visiting the Sht. Huseyin Ruso Middle School in the TRNC on Tuesday morning before his departure from the island.
