"Balanced" Solution to the Cyprus Problem!

Postby MrH » Fri Nov 28, 2008 7:10 pm

Hurriey Daily News:

Turkish Cypriot PM meets ex-Chancellor

BERLIN - Turkish Cyprus’ Prime Minister Ferdi Sabit Soyer was visiting Berlin late Wednesday when he met with former German Chancellor Gerhard Schröder, who Soyer said, "has always supported a balanced solution to the Cyprus issue and I wish to thank his contributions regarding the matter."

Schröder, who listened to the latest developments on the island, said that he was optimistic about recent positive moves.

BALANCED! Does that mean a Confederation based on Two-Founding States, or one based on GC Domination and a protected Turkish Cypriot Community?

The Cracks are showing!!!!! Slowly, but surely!

Back when Schroeder was actually in charge of something did he help you get your solution or recognition? No?

Also, for constructive political discussion on this topic, please see Halil's 'Soyer in Germany' thread.

That's exactly my point, thus I believe that it'll now probably be Annexation Blackbolt. Would you prefer that?

The Process is simple - We are giving you guys a last chance. Keep Cyprus under Greek/Turkish Cypriot Hands or face Annexation of the TRNC.

Erm, in case you haven't noticed, Schroeder is a nobody now. He can't help you even if he wanted to. You're sucking up to the wrong guy.

You stupid man! If Turkey annexes the north of Cyprus.

1 It will never join the EU
2 The annexation will never be legally recognised
3 The improving relationship with Greece will be put into reverse
4 The annexed land will no longer be eligible for EU grants
5 Turkish Cypriots who hold ROC passports will lose benefits of EU membership
6 Thousands of Greek Cypriots will sue the arse off Turkey for stealing their land
7 The "border" will once again become a dangerous place
8 Travel between the north and ROC will be impossible
9 Direct flights will never happen
ETE ETC ETC

balanced, as in Bicommunnal, means a Unitary State and two National Assemblies.

balanced, as in Bizonal, means ending the fait accompli and ending the 'border'; instead, having frontiers, with two parts made up of components.

Balanced the way Germans understand it probably means a 82-18 proportional system. Look at how their federal system works before spouting your bazaar slogans.
