The Cyprus Women’s Movement presented the bi-communal peace declaration to the UN Special Representative to Cyprus Taye-Brook Zerihoun today.
The declaration highlights the desire for peace in Cyprus of Turkish Cypriot and Greek Cypriot women.
The declaration was signed by members of Turkish Cypriot and Greek Cypriot women’s organizations during a bi-communal event held on the 25th of October.
The event was organized under the leadership of the Women’s Brunch of the Republican Turkish Party and the Greek Cypriot Women’s Movement POGO which marked the 25th October- the International Women’s Day of Action for Peace.
