Brothers in Arms .....

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Brothers in Arms .....

Postby Oracle » Fri Nov 28, 2008 12:14 am

The Bonds are stronger than ever.

First the networking with Russia, now Greece ....

During his visit to the Presidential Palace, accompanied by his wife Elsi, Papoulias awarded the Grand Cross of the Saviour to Christofias, saying that “he really deserves the medal for what he is doing for the Republic of Cyprus.”

In return, Christofias awarded the Grand Cross of the Order of Makarios III, Cyprus Republic’ highest award, to the Greek President.

Oh there are many more in that bed than just Greece and Russia you know! (Thanks to Christophias' Charms).

So next time there is a foray for OIL exploration in Cypriot waters, it would be interesting to see, just how threatening Turkey will be brave enough to be ....

And in case anybody is still doubtful about our continuing brotherhood with Greece ...

Cyprus Mail wrote:The Ministry is also making arrangements to help Cypriot nationals resident in the Congo.

An announcement said that Cypriots nationals “who reside or are trapped’ the Congo may in an emergency turn to the Greek Embassy in Kinshasa, and both Greek Consulates in cities Kinsangkani (Kisangani) and Lubumbashi (Lubumbashi).

Interesting comments from Oracle. Taking the discussion further would anti Greece Greek Cypriots please explain why Christofias needs to keep briefing Greece on his negotitations with Turkey. If as you say Greece has nothing to do with Cyprus why the briefing or medal exchanges.

It's called 'international relations'. It happens all the time between internationally recognised states.

Perhaps the UK should foster better relations with its close neighbours, like Ireland and France (or just anyone in Europe really  ) .... if they don't want to end up with NIL points again
