Bollards

We all need a good laugh.

Bollards

Postby Jerry » Wed Nov 26, 2008 4:26 pm

These workmen are installing bollards to stop nurses from parking on
the pavement outside the Royal Hospital in Belfast .
They are cleaning up at the end of the day.
How long do you think it will be before they realise that they can't go home?
This is a real photograph...!

Apparently they make a dammed good stew, and they have recently discovered that the line about Hitler only having one is true - he got shot there in WW1, - don't know about Himmler or Goebbels though.

Maybe they're removable or go up and down like the ones in Ledra street, and if you look at the width of the van you'll see that it should fit through with a careful reverse so Bollards to you both!

You are talking a load of bollards, they don't look like the removable sort to me. If you gauge the width of the van using the paving slabs you will see that only a Cypriot driver would try and reverse between them.

Leave bollards to those of us that know the subject well and stick to "politics"

In defense of the Irish 8), I count 3.5 slabs for the width of the van whereas the bollards are close to 4 slabs apart, and hereby volunteer to reverse the van for them even if it means taking the bollards home with me embedded in the sides! 8)

In the worst case scenario, being freshly installed they can always be straightened up again  Think Cypriot!
