Without Cypriot input Hellenism would never be…

Without Cypriot input Hellenism would never be…

I feel that this little paragraph by Piratis deserves a thread of its own...

Piratis wrote:There is absolutely no question that the vast majority of Cypriots have been Greeks right from the beginning of the creation of Greeks. Cypriots are among those people who created and defined the what it means to be Greek. Without the Cypriots (just as without the Athenians, Cretans, Spartans etc) there would be no such thing such as a "Greek" in the way we know it today. We (along with the other Greeks) created what being Greek means. (just imagine Greeks without the Greek Alphabet for example)

I'd like to hear comments on the above from our Greek members such as Nikiforos, Alexis, etc... (there's many more of you but I forget your names :) )

...there is a guy named chapfallen, i wish he was here to tell us all his opinions; he made me laugh.

indeed Greeks today are not the Greeks of old (pre Christian), and the Greeks of old were made of stock like Cretans, Cypriots, and an ilk we do not perceive as cultures much older, but they were there and Greeks became...

It doesn’t look like the Greeks agree to this theory Piratis because nobody has come forward to support you… :( I dare say they may even be offended! :?

I'm not, I posted lots of things to prove what Piratis wrote is true but you've ignored it.
