A PSYCHIATRIC SURPRISE

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Many people were disappointed because of the "no" vote of the Greek Cypriots and in fact in the north I came across many Mikellides's. The path to solution is not a bed of roses and we all need staying power to see the whole distance out. Mikellides is genuinely disappointed, I have no doubt. !

Why do you go all 'sexual' when you talk about the Turks?

Bananiot wrote:Silly woman Oracle however is overjoyed at Mikellides's new theory that we are so different from the Turks that we can never live together.

Now you're saying you want to live with a Turk?

Bananiot wrote:Kifeas on the other hand thinks that Cyprus is not a third world country. Let me put it differently. We are the only African country in Europe and when you realise this you can start work on improving it, rather than comparing it with Turkey. Why not raise the bar and compare us with Sweden, let us say. Would any Swedish Prime Minister that accepted 50 000 bananas from an obscure British-Ukrainian company under the table for his election campaign ever say "this does not concern me" when asked by jopurnalists and case close!

I was being bloody lenient when I said that Cyprus is a third world country!

If our country is so disgusting and inferior to you, why don't you go live in Turkey with your Turkish masters, your Turkish lover and your 50,000 Turkish bananas?

cyfo, do not distress yourself on account of your friend's condition, if he believes himself to be an 'Alien' (and I assume that means a creature from outer space) he has the advantage of being able to distance himself from all the evils taking place on this foreign planet.

If he believes himself to be 'Jesus', he has much to do in order to establish his 'Father's Kingdom' on earth and will have little time for suicidal tendencies.

If he is violent, he will be dealt with by those who are expert in dealing with such emotions and will be treated in accordance with his needs at all times.

If he is depressed, he will again be treated by experts in THAT field and if 'Shock Treatment' (as it is generally known) is necessary, again he will receive the full benefit of it.

Have one thing in mind cyfo, if your friend is fortunate enough to have a friend who cares for his welfare (as you appear to) then he is already leagues in front of many of those who are mentally stable.

Furthermore, if the likes of George Bush, Tony Blair, and all those of their ilk are considered to be 'Sane', I would encourage your friend to enjoy his condition, lest he should strive to become likened to them.

Here we go DT.

Do you remember a certain President who said that Cyprus is a banana republic, about 10 years ago? Many people applauded him then (perhaps you did too, for his frankness) but, do you think we have got any better since?

Do you want another one?

P.S. A BG is a Bee Gee, but did you get the rest?

I got the rest but I'm not getting your example.

Glafkos said that Cyprus is in danger of becoming a banana republic because someone accussed Spyros Kyprianou of corruption over 2 plots of land he was buying in Engomi.

THATS YOUR EXAMPLE?????

Only a banana of a president could possibly call the country he governs a banana republic...

I have said many times in this forum, not just now but in the past when "Politis" was publishing Mikelides "other" articles, that the man is a schizophrenic and a psycho! I do not know how good a psychiatrist he is, as I never (thanks god) had to use his services, but going by his various ideas in his various articles in "Politis," he is certainly the first Cypriot that needs a psychiatrist himself. I have at times watched him on TV, and he doesn’t come out any better than in his "articles." First of all, he is unable to express himself consistently, and then he tries to use the inadequate language of the "coffee-shop" to express ideas and concepts that by default require a more advanced vocabulary to be expressed accurately and precisely. In that sense, he makes a mockery of himself, and the end result is to have ended a permanent guest of a main stream afternoon talk show for housewives and people with very low educational levels.

I suggest no one should take him seriously. The things he says nowadays about TCs, he used to say, in the same style and manner, about the GCs not so long ago.

Here we go DT but it was rather poor for you to dispute what and under which circumstances Klerides said that Cyprus is a banana republic. Three more examples for you:

(a) Do you know a european country where the President's newspaper alleges that the main opponent of the President in the coming elections was a nazi agent and nothing happens as a result? Could this happen in a real banana republic? I wonder.

(b) On a different level, do you know of another european country where the people of the country take pride in poisoning animals, especially dogs and cats?

(c) Do you know of another european country where the countryside is littered with paper, cartons, tins etc mainly thrown out of car windows by bananiot drivers that keep their own home perfectly clean?
