Matt, I would think long and hard about moving over. Tim has given you sound advice here.

I would love to move to CY but the job thing/opportunities/salaries make it very difficult for us to make that move.

Learn the language, shake the right hands and you have a start. Better still start a business, thousands of British success stories in Cyprus, be prepared to work hard, the rewards and money are there.
