The Presidential spokesperson has reminded the Greek Cypriot Leader Demetris Christofias that his collocutor for a “Cypriot solution” is President Mehmet Ali Talat.
Hasan Erçakıca’s comments came as the Greek Cypriot Leader Dimitris Christofias is to sign a declaration with Russia that includes the Cyprus problem.

Speaking at his weekly press briefing, Hasan Erçakıca called on the Greek Cypriot Leader to stop trying to change the principles jointly agreed for a solution in Cyprus.
“The Greek Cypriot Leader Dimitris Christofias should end his efforts in the international arena and stop trying to reshape the principles agreed by the two leaders” he said.
“We want to warn the officials of the Russian Federation on the issue”, he said, adding that Christofias’ collocutor is President Talat.
On the negotiation process, Mr Erçakıca announced that the two leaders will have six more meetings until the end of the year.(meeting dates will be 25th November , 8-16-22-29 December.)

The spokesperson also announced that President Talat will be visiting Brussels in the second week of December.

Yesterday, the two leaders continued their full-fledged peace talks with a 3-hour long meeting during and held discussions on independent institutions under the federal judiciary system such as the office of the Attorney-General, the Auditor-General and the Supreme Court.

The talks were again held within the framework of the discussions on Governance and Power-sharing` - the first title of the negotiations launched on the 3rd of September.

Reading out a short statement at the end of the meeting, the United Nations Secretary General’s Special Adviser for Cyprus Alexander Downer said the meeting was held in a convivial and positive atmosphere.

Answering reporters’ questions whether the leaders discussed the deadlock-resolving mechanism, Mr Downer said the issue was not on the table but added that it could be brought onto the agenda next time. The next meeting between the two leaders is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, 25 November.

Halil, you are choosing carefully the words in your text but unfortunately you are using the wrong words.

AA.Negotiations are between the international recognised president of Cyprus and the leader of T/cs community. (personally i call him muchtar)

BB.Christofias visiting Russia as president of Cyprus (this the official visit formula) and Mr Talat will visit Brussels as leader (muchtar) of T/cs.

Above just for readers of the forume to have a correct picture of the case

Russia Might Supply to Cyprus Missile Defense Systems
At the Moscow talks, Cyprus' President Dimitris Christofias will deliberate on potential development of military and technical cooperation of Moscow and Nicosia, Interfax reported.
“Cyprus is a small island state and, for understandable reasons, military and engineering cooperation with this country couldn’t be distinguished for its big size. But it exists and continues to develop dynamically. The expectations are that potential acquisition of Russia’s armaments will be one of highlights of Cyprus' president’s negotiations in Moscow, said a source with defense and industrial community.

The source said Cyprus is eyeing Russia’s Top-M2 short-range guided missile systems, T-90C tanks as well as the helicopters of various designations. The deals could be clinched in the nearest term.

According to foreign media, the 2009 budget of Cyprus provides for appropriating over EUR 200 million for buying Russia’s weapons. Russia’s armaments enjoy great authority in Cyprus, the source specified.

That would be sensible.

Cyprus should also look at UAVs. Very cheap, effective, and can cover a lot of ocean. Endurance can be upto 24 hours as well.

What types are they looking at?
