The answer is quite simple, us Brits find most members of this forum to be unfriendly and uncouth with little better to do than spout off verbal garbage to new British forum members. Other than that the weather forecast on here is pretty good.

Regards Lucky Jim.

Well said Lucky Jim...........I can remember not so long ago when this forum was one of the best informative forums available to Brits thinking of making the move to Cyprus !!!! But now its content is more likely to put them off never mind they are probably doing us a favour in the long run...............the transition from the horse & cart to the Mercedes and BMW seems to have evolved too early !!!!

I suppose now that England owns nearly all the banks in Scotland you'll be wanting to borrow from the banks in Cyprus to try and ruin them next!

Highlander,

Good to see you back. I was actually thinking just the other day what happened to you and few others. Last time you posted a while back, you were opening a business in Cyprus, hence the fact you were not going to have too much time for the rest of us on the forum, and now you tell us that you have been back home in Scotland for the last 12 months.....so what happened Highlander.?

Also glad to see Niki back.

Oh and I foolishly thought you took time off to read the eponymous novel by Kingsley Amis, after I improved your education 8)

How's sunny Dundee, Highlander? I know it (too) well.

HIGHLANDER, I have looked up your past posts and I reckon you are a load of old bollocks !.

You came to Cyprus thinking you were going to take over the island with your wild business ideas, you met your match, burned your fingers, tucked up your kilt and headed for the hills of 'HAME'.

"Och away and puss up your kilt Jock !"

Talisker perhaps you may care to do the same, and judge for yourself some of his anti-Cypriot poisonous aspersions. He does not sound like a true Scotsman to me ...

He didn't seem to acclimatise too well; subtle things like it is never acceptable to leave your dog in a car in Cyprus, and in a car park (usually exposed), for ANY length of time let alone to go supermarket shopping for an unpredictable length of time (can take ages)

I'm still here :)

Had pc problems for a short while and had to revert back to my older and slower processor so didn't spend much time on the forums - otherwise my old pc would have ended up embedded in a concrete wall or through the window

Now, I'm back with a replacement base unit and hope this one behaves!
