How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Can we strike back with some heat seeking citrus missiles?

I wonder if Oracle still has her stockpile of lemons. They would sour the ongoing meetings to no end. :?

DT,

If anything, our jokes are highlighting the ridiculousness of Halils "Cypriot Fenatics Attack TC Car Thread".

At the same time, we sympathise with the woman that has had her house levelled by the Turkish Army. Everyone is very happy that she was not home, because things may have been a lot worse if this was not the case.

Sometimes we need a bit of humour in order to lift our spirits, because a lot of people are feeling down lately. But we do not mean any disrespect to the lady.

It will be nice to see Halil's reaction about this matter, because his ramblings about the citrus fruit incident was nothing short of farcical, whereas this incident is serious and could have resulted in loss of life.

The report in the Famagusta Gazette said the incident took place in "San Dometiou", until I bollocked them about it.

They now report "The Cyprus national Guard have said the origin of a mortar shell which fell on a house in the Agios Dometios area at 10.30am was from northern Cyprus.

The missile, which was 21mm in size, is of Turkish origin and is a of type used by occupation forces in the north."

Please excuse my ignorance but is it common practice to use live ammunition for Military exercises? :? And what is the (trajectory?) firing distance of these Cannon shells?

I cant imagine it being live, but the detonation and or propellant and the heat given may well cause enough damage.

God help us. In these we trust our lives.

It appears that it didn't explode, so could be a blank.

I thought modern weapons were very accurate? I hope that the army apologise and compensate for this crass carelessness that could have fatal for someone.
