Homegrown Cypriot missiles

Postby Talisker » Sat Nov 15, 2008 10:14 pm

We heard yesterday the shocking news that 'fanatics' had attacked Turkish Cypriot cars in South Cyprus with oranges.
http://www.cyprus-forum.com/cyprus20794.html

Is this a seasonal happening? Is there a danger from grape attacks earlier in the year? Why oranges and not other citrus fruit? Are lemons and limes less effective missiles, or are they kept in reserve for times of emergency? Have the 'fanatics' perfected the boomerang-like banana that returns to the thrower if it misses its target?

I think we should face up to the dangers of these newly utilised weapons. After all, there are a lot of nuts about..........

Yes Talisker ... you may well ask!

These citrus missile attacks were conducted during the Turkish display over Cypriot air-space depicting Turkey in all its "Might is Right" power and glorification of the bloodshed it has caused over our Island with one weapon or another, over the last few centuries.

The Barbarian Turks have learnt to fly  and use sophisticated weaponry ...... the manufacture, science and physics of which is still a mystery to their illiterate, hungry, barefoot scummy citizens ... and yet they fly over the Hellenic Cypriots, who irrigated, traded, philosophised, carried out astronomy and sciences for thousand of years before.

Yes the phucking Turksih-Mongolian Huns had to display their toys ... even if they do not really know how they work, any better than they can squeeze lemon-juice out of a lemon fruit!

I have always wondered what happens to oranges in Cyprus. I remember when orange groves were all over Cyprus as they tend to thrive in the climate and soil. Seems like a there should be a good income for some, so why is it the vast majority of Cypriot oranges are allowed to rot and then Cyprus imports them.

Because our most fertile citrus bearing soil is in Morphou rotting.

I for one would be fascinated to witness an attempt to reconcile the objective reality captured in the following list:

with the views expressed above. Such an attempt would no doubt furnish very useful data to psychologists investigating the phenomenon of denial.

You no like my fruity comment? 8) Of course instead, every Anatolian citizen must be as you describe in your (serious) link of Turkish cerebral luminaries, and not suitable targets to be flippantly besmirched in General Chat comparing the irony of firing citrus missiles, whilst Turkish Jets fly over-head. Are things not spicy enough for you in other sections?

OMG Kafenes, those are orangasmic.

I guess it's still classified information but I heard rumour the 'fanatics' have developed the SQ-005H 'Tankbuster' capable of firing 45 grapefruit per minute. Any news on that one?
