I could not give a damn as to my classification. This classification is only GRs opinion, and I have proven that his opinions are now a great big load of bollocks. So I could not give a damn about his opinion as to my classification, whereas it seems you do.

So if you don't care get of this thread because that's what its about!

I have not been discussing this stupid classification for so long. You however have been doing just that.

Forgive me for finding you such a bore. I have no desire discussing GRs classification, but much more happy to discuss something more stimulating, such as Cypriot pre-history. I find it interesting because I have learnt many new things.

You however have polluted what was a very interesting discussion for me. So I suggest you get off this thread unless you have something stimulating to offer in which case I may even give you the time of day.

Ps GR I have a very nice book called Cyprus Heritage, The Art of Ancient Cyprus. Lots of nice pictures, 8) would you like to see?

You've presented me with a new theory about the Greek alphabet being much older than what the Greek and other museums/historians seem to claim but I'm not the one to prove or disprove it so take it up with the relevant authorities. No offence but it has nothing to do with my interests anyway.

Wheres the pollution, show me. Look at what I posted and you will see I proved GR wrong ie. the Alphabet is not a Phoenician invention and is much older than suggested by certain historians. Also the pre Mycenaean/Achaean peoples of Cyprus were also Hellenic in origin. And may I remind you it is you who keeps baiting me with the Turk word and telling me to Piss off.

The GR classification is the ONLY thing that matters… you know it and I know it! 8)

And now you’re upset because you’ve been demoted to Mycenaean levels, but unless you overcome your incompetence you will not see the light of day… you will remain a mythological entity embedded in a wet Greek dream... Image

But this theory hasn't been internationally accepted has it?

It is not a new theory, this comes from both older and newer historians. Read what I posted ie the bit about ancient shipping which proves connections between main land Greece, Milos, Crete and Cyprus. You should stop reading anti Hellenic rubbish, Greek Cypriots are a blend of Medterraneans and Alpines, both are Sub races of the European race.

Hello? I’m the ONLY one who posts decent sites…

None of your stories are supported in Greek museums and you call them anti-Greek sites???

Then perhaps you should check your links a bit more thoroughly.

Here is some more food for thought.

Crete was the cradle of the Minoan Civilization, which spanned roughly from 2000 BCE to 1200 BCE. In addition to incredible frescoes, indoor plumbing (!), the Minoans also developed the first written system of Europe.

The oldest example of writing in Crete is a kind of "hieroglyphic" (which means that the signs are picture-like) script. The media where the hieroglyphic inscriptions appeared are mostly clay sealstones.

The origin of the Cretan writing system lies in the extensive use of engraved sealstones, which depict physical objects, to (possibly) record quantities of these objects in soft clay. This forms a natural progression to a systematic writing system.

As time progresses hieroglyphic system became more stylized and more linear. Instead of impressing sealstones in soft clay, the glyphs are incised on the soft clay with a stylus. In addition, quantities are represented by numerals (not multiple impressions of the same sign). As time goes on, it appears that the linear hieroglyphic system evolved into Linear A.

Linear A has roughly 90 symbols, thus most likely a syllabary much like Linear B. However, Linear A has resisted all attempts at decipherment because its underlying language is still unknown and probably will remain obscure since it doesn't seem to relate to any other surviving language in Europe or Western Asia.

Linear B and Cypriot both exhibit considerable similarity to Linear A. Because of its time depth, Linear A appears to be the immediate ancestor to both of these writing systems

And here is another link...

You can not just dismiss it because it destroys your argument.
