From your source:

Late Bronze Age (1650-1050 BC)

During the Late Bronze Age, Cyprus came into its own as a major centre of copper production, supplying the entire Eastern Mediterranean. Settlements with urban organization grew up close to the harbours from which copper ingots and bronze artifacts were shipped to the Aegean, the Middle East, and Egypt, to be bartered or exchanged for various products and luxury goods. In the larger cities, buildings for administrative functions were erected, while a system of writing was adopted from Crete (Cypro-Minoan script), which enabled the Cypriots to cope with the increased bureaucratic need for inventories and archives. The arts flourished and the wealth that flowed into the island led to social inequalities. In the late 13th c. BC, the upheavals sweeping the Eastern Mediterranean, which are usually attributed to the so-called “Sea Peoples”, also affected Cyprus. Several cities were destroyed and waves of refugees arrived from the Aegean. Even so, the island quickly recovered from the dramatic disturbances and regained its role as an important mercantile centre.

So Cypriots are not ony the descendants of Mycenaens but are also the descendants of the Minoans.

How many times must we repeat the Alphabet story?

Phoenician > Minoan > Cypriot > Greek

I posted a link in the past.

And btw, Minoans had nothing to do with the origins of Greeks or modern Cretans let alone Cypriots.

You seem to be contradicting yourself.

The Minoans settled in Crete and yet you are saying they are not linked to Modern Day Cretans. Thats fine, but then you say that Choirokitians are linked to Modern Day Cypriots and yet they numbered only 300. You can not have it both ways.

If the Minoans lived in Crete then surely some modern day Cretans derive part of their heritage from this ancient civilisation. And since these people also settled in Cyprus, then Cypriots can also do the same. Or are we only allowed to accept Choirokitian links alone?

If you haven't read about the Minoans why are you here wanting to debate about them? :?

There you go..

read it and weep. I believe your false theories are now dead and buried.

Your argument about the Choirokiians being the first greeks to adopt The Pheonicean Alphabet is now defunct. There existed a people in Cyprus that did this much ealrier > The Minoans.

If this is the case explain these findings then ?

Stone pebbles of the Magdalenean Era (14,000 B.C. approx.)
and the French Glozel plate. Many letters of the Hellenic alphabet
can be clearly discerned such as Θ ,Ξ , Μ , Φ , Ε , Π , Τ , Λ etc.

Image

Sources: " MYSTERIES FROM FORGOTTEN WORLDS" by Charles Berlitz, Greek 'Orora' publications, and "OMFALOS"
by Athanasios Aggelopoulos, Greek 'Smyrniotakis' publications

Hellenic alphabet was in use at 6000 B.C.

OR

An article by Pan.Kouvalakis published in "Davlos" magazine

The potsherd of 5500-6000 BC, found at the islet Yura of Northern Sporades bearing Greek alphabet letters. The facsimile to the classic Greek letters Alpha (A), Ypsilon (Y) and Delta (Δ) can be recognized. This finding proves that the classic Greek alphabet is older than the Greek linear alphabets. It also demolishes crushingly and definitely the false theory that Greeks took the alphabet from the Phoenicians, who emerged in history around 1150 BC, i.e. 4500-5000 years after the creation of the Yura written potsherd.

Image

After the discovery of a wooden plate at Dispilion Kastoria, which was dated at 5300 BC, a new impressive discovery came to light, concerning the "prehistorical" alphabet in the Greek region. In the "Cyclop cave" at the desert islet Yura of Northern Sporades (20 miles out of Alonissos) ceramic fragments of written pots (potsherds) were excavated, upon the surface of which have been carved symbols facsimile with the letters of the classic Greek alphabet. The potsherds are dated between 6000 and 5500 BC.

OR
Greek letters like "M" and "Y" were found in an ancient Hellenic city in the bottom of the ocean in India. This is dated from 7500 BC.

All Alphabets are Hellenic in origin even the so called LATIN alphabet is just another Hellenic alphabet created by the Greeks from Magna Grecia in Italy.

This "argument" goes WAY BEYOND my interest so take it up with the right authorities. The general archaeological-historical consensus doesn't agree with the above and I personally couldn't care less to find out.

Yialousa,

No one believes you are GC. You continuously make stupid comments such as this and you expect us to take you seriously.

First of all, there is absolutely no reason or incentive for ENOSIS. In case you have not realised, Cyprus is a part of the EU.

I think GR needs to downgrade you into the Kindergarten. You purpose here is very damaging to our cause.

Ha ha, he did but he also put you there and guess what your last, that makes you the Moro! Now take thisImage and be quiet!

That's OK Yialousa. For someone who has posted about 100 Greek Flags on this forum, you are actually deserving of your category.

As for Oracle and I, we are only there because GR! could not defeat us in debate, and so this is his only means of retribution.

Now run along Turk. Grab your Turkish Doll and go play in the traffic.

No your their because your a baby, you can't even count where did I post a hundred Greek flags maybe two or three. Now try and think of something more original than calling me a Turk, Moro Paphitis.

Piss Off!

I have GR! wasting my time and now I have you.

Post something intelligent or at least amusing. Because atm you bore me senseless.

I could not give a damn as to my classification. This classification is only GRs opinion, and I have proven that his opinions are now a great big load of bollocks. So I could not give a damn about his opinion as to my classification, whereas it seems you do.
