We all know you're a Cypriot and you love Cyprus so please stop waving your e-penis in everyone's faces and stop talking about a handful of cavemen like they were the greatest civilisation on Earth.

Fair enough you don't want to be 'Greek' or have anything to do with Greece but trying to convince yourself that you come from some forgotten ancient civilisation is beyond delusional. There is more chance that you're a Tourkosporo than a pure-blood ethnic Choirokitian so just accept it and move on.

The Choirokitians lived RIGHT HERE on this island whereas the Mycenaeans were 600 miles away in ANOTHER COUNTRY so the chances that any given Cypriot is of Mycenaean descend and not Choirokitian is equivalent to that of you winning Lotto. Only a Greek-brainwashed fool of mythological proportions could and would convince himself otherwise. Image

I am 100% Greek, 100% Cypriot and 100% Limassolian.

The man is Greek... end of story.

You have a talent for weaving stories!

So when are you going to come out of the closet and announce to all the forumers that you have been winding them all up with this Choirokitian lark?

Well so far I've come out of the closet once tonight to BigAl... can we handle a second when I irrefutably prove the Cypriot origins?

Get Real!,

I have news for you. The earliest indisputable settlement was not in Khoirokitia but in Aetokremnos (Akrotiri).

Did Mycenaeans really exist or are they a figment of Homer’s imagination like the rest of Greek mythology?

“Maggidis, director of the Dickinson College Excavation Project and Survey in Mycenae, thinks he knows where the rest of the people, until now absent from the archaeological record, might be.”

Yeah, in Homer’s head…

Can either of you two, give us an undisputable definition of 'Colony' as referred to the 'Travelling Greeks' in Cyprus.

Also thanks for all the above info you all have gathered and posted. Both sides are credible. As usual, its the historians and the archealogists who are at loggerheads as to how these 'colonisations' or migrations of people have taken place. Keep it up.

I think I belong to the Chiroikitian school of thought. Keep up the good work boys. Its all fascinating reading.

Deniz,

Do you not have Hellenic ancestry yourself?

I remember reading about it.

No Deniz is of Choirokitian origin .

Even if the island had hellenic roots now it is independent . Independence = separate nationality and ethicity unless you give us an example of a country that is indepenedent and does not have a separate ethnicity.

Sure.

There are many countries that do not have a seperate ethnicity, unless you speak about the true indigenous peoples.

These countries include the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. These countries predomonantly share a common ethnicity that is mainly linked to Britain. They are also a mixture of many other European ethnicities and cultures, including Greek.

Nationality and Ethnicity are totally different things, but I guess you already know this. :?
