Ready for "Two Founding States" under a Federal Cy

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Simple, if the two component states have equal status then each component state wil exercise its authority (within the limits agreed in the constitution) and its territorial boundaries.

Stop making a fool of yourself Oracle.

So that means that all GC's will have the right of return to their properties and will have equal political power. So in order for that to happen that means they will have 82% representation and participation in the parliament of both states right?

its that or partition ............. take your choice........... the famous words of a TC in relation to the occupation of Cyprus by Turkey with the agreeance and support of TC administration.

Well let this ignaorant soul ask the question if its partition how come it hasn't come to fruition yet? What the crunch moment? What are we waiting for?

Two equal states the north administered by TCs and the south by GCs, the people decide where they wish to reside. Why do you not want to live under TC adminisration but want to force us to live under GC adminstration???

am not arguing for that at all. and because am an educated individual I also do not argue for governance based on racial discrimination of any kind which is what I have a problem with the propositions put forth by the TC's.

like every other Cypriot I don't understand what BBF is. Nobody has provided me with a clear definition.

I don't agree with a BBF model VP but for sake of a solution I will vote for it in the referendum if I gree with principles. I am fortunate to be living in a democratic country where it is not ethnically divided or favours people according to their ethnicity or language so the concept of BBF assumes division and not unity and that is where I struggle.

When both or one community does not trust the other or if one side does not accept agreed partition BBF or BBC is the only way forward. There are countires where this is case, this is the only way trust will be built between the 2 sides. Each side has to have the right say no on sensative issues which effect one state more negatively than the other, and they have to be able to administer themselves with being forced into a state where they will always feel like second class citizens. This way everyone is given the choice of where they wish to reside accepting that administration.

division based on ethnic lines is not moving forward, sorry I strongly disagree with your point but I also accept that it is your point and you have the right to express it.

For the same reason we didn't want to live under Ottoman administration. Why should you rule over land that belongs by 80%+ to us?

If you want to live under Turkish administration then go live in Turkey. In Cyprus you can live under Cypriot administration, and yes you are only 18% of Cypriots, and yes that means you can't do whatever you feel like.

If you didn't want to live as a minority in our island you should have thought of it before you invaded us. Nobody asked from you to come to Cyprus which was already inhabited by Greeks for 1000s of years.
