Yeah, like plastering a bunch of Greek logos all over the screen! You too should consider retiring from the CyProb...

WHat are you talking about you senile old fool?

I’m talking about your stupid response confirming Riccos’…nice job!

Take another look and this time wear your bifocals

I see three Greek flags/logos plastered from top to bottom. Do I also need to read the text? I shouldn't have to as a picture speaks 1,000 words... make that 3,000 in your case.

You've got serious problems...The National Guard does have a number of Hellenic emblems to show our Hellenic heritage just like the constitution allowed for the TC regiments to display Turkish emblems.

The Constitution says no such thing. The only thing that it says about the Army is that it shall be %60 GC and %40 TC.

When it comes to flags (the main point of this thread) the Constitution at Article 4 says:
1. The Republic shall have its own flag of neutral design and colour, chosen jointly by the President and the Vice-President of the Republic.
2. The authorities of the Republic and any public corporation or public utility body created by or under the laws of the Republic shall fly the flag of the Republic and they shall have the right to fly on holidays together with the flag of the Republic both the Greek and the Turkish flags at the same time.
3. The Communal authorities and institutions shall have the right to fly on holidays together with the flag of the Republic either the Greek or the Turkish flag at the same time.
4. Any citizen of the Republic or any body, corporate or unincorporate other than public, whose members are citizens of the Republic, shall have the right to fly on their premises the flag of the Republic or the Greek or the Turkish flag without any restriction.

As I read it, ROC (if it is to be seen as anything other than the Republic of Greek-Cypriots) should only fly the Cyprus flag except on holidays when it may also fly the Greek and Turkish flags together.

How many parades do you know that take place on working days and not holidays?

I'd still like to see where GR see's the 3,000 flags on the pics I posted...before I send over a seeing eye dog.

This is the flag we should be flying in Cyprus to represent the fact that unlike other Hellenic territories, we have still not removed the Ottomans since the call to revolt in 1821 ...

Reinforcing everyone's belief that there are two Cypruses. The honestly titled Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and the Greek-Cypriot Republic of Cyprus falsely claiming legitimacy.

There is only one Cyprus. The Hellenic Cyprus. Like its sister Greece of Old, and now equal EU partner ... we have an unfinished job ... to remove the Ottoman-Turks!

I'll hilight the important bit. The Constitution says:
2. The authorities of the Republic and any public corporation or public utility body created by or under the laws of the Republic shall fly the flag of the Republic and they shall have the right to fly on holidays together with the flag of the Republic both the Greek and the Turkish flags at the same time

I know that my eyesight is not what it was, but there is a marked absence of Turkish flags!

Turkey forfeited its rights in the ROC when it breached the constitution and treaty of guarantee.

I thought that the masterminds behind the coup of 74 were Greek.
