A group of Turkish Cypriot students visited Vatican and Peace songs has been song to Papa Benedict.

front of the Pope and thousands of people Turkish Cypriot childrens were also sing the song called ''Al Yemenim Mor Yemenim’' The song was cheered with great pleasure from Pope and crowds .

very hopeful news, the last time I heard a Turkish being in Vatican was Mehmet Ali Agca and his song was NOT cheered with greate pleasure by the previous Pope :(

That's because they're Cypriots and not Turks Oracle.

Your humour is not amusing at all. Turkish speaking Cypriots are NOT Turks.

They sure behave like they are Turks! They sure look like Turks! They sure speak like Turks!

Other than the fact that TCs live on Cyprus .... what are the salient differences to any old Turk?

They don't look like Turks. All Cypriots look similar to eachother.
They are completely different to Turks; mentality and culture, and how would you know they speak like Turks? You speak Gibrizlija? No. They speak extremely differently (Like GSCs speak Kypriaka, we speak Gibrizlija).
