It is sad that Miltis ban has been converted to a 'permanet ban'. Had we all watched our tongues, non of this would have happened.

I remain perplexed, as to how he came back posting that he will not be returning, we welcome him back as encouragement, and then we get the blame for a permanent ban because of what he said to/about (our long-suffering) Admin

BTW ... I did not once complain to Admin, or on the forum, about his language. I just ignored it or replied in worthy kind!

Some posts are just made for skim reading without paying much attention. I just caught the bit about him "signing over and out". That is the bit that caught my attention.

These poor "sensitive" types are just so inane. They get worked up over absolutely nothing and then martyr themselves. These Brits are just so weird and frail. No wonder they can't win in any sporting events.

Miltiades' absence is deafening. Hence my comment on closing the door slowly. We would not want to disturb this boring tranquillity and silence. In fact I kind of miss the guy. At least he gave a good fight, and I like the tenacity. I have no one to play with now. GR! has gone all funny and we are all talking doom and gloom economics for heaven’s sake.

We need him back here, but he needs to improve on his tactics if he is going to get a piece of me. Far too easy to outflank. At least he does not bore me shitless like that guy that signed "over and out". What was his name again?

As a regular reader of the forum, well not so regular now, due the same old topics being raised about the past, I feel its getting boring, so lets have more up to date topics, and put all the old Cypriot problems on a seperate site, then I would probably suspect there would be nothing to discuss on the forum site, thus defeating my suggestion.

So you were a regular reader on November 4 that you joined but now on November 7 you are regular? Or you mean you were regular reader for years before and now you are not regular but now that you are not regular reader you started to post Doesn't make sense ...

Fireplace, welcome to you and you are absolutely right in certain areas of your short criticism.

Apart from those regulars who FUEL the discussions with their BURNING desires to return to the HEARTHS in their own homes, others are the mere EMBERS of what were once FLAMING contributors to FIERY debates.

HEATED exchanges can GRATE on one's nerves if such exchanges do not KINDLE one's own emotions, the WARMTH that once existed between both G and T/C's (Cypriots) has been SCUTTLED, their opinions, once GLOWING have gradually been RAKED over by the SMOKESCREENS those who represent them have created.

One SPARK is all it takes to ensure a FLARE up takes place, SCORCHING insults are hurled from one side to the other and another CONFLAGRATION takes hold which revives SMOULDERING grudges both held (and invented) by those who participate.

BLAZING rows are quite common on the forum, a small comment can IGNITE a BLISTERING contest (even between old friends) and the GLIMMER of hope which once LIT up the debate, DWINDLES to ASHES.

THE TORCH of freedom is CRACKLING and SPLUTTERING , awaiting the new rise of the PHOENIX, whose HOT POKER has severally been thrust into the affrays witnessed upon this forum.

QUITE sad actually Fireplace, other members are only interested in silly games and nonsensical comments, we will not even discuss them.

Forgot to mention the ROAST 'Old Chestnuts' which may be the reason for Fireplace's initial comment.

I am not accepting the blame for Miltiades temporary or permanent ban. He bought it all upon himself and made it his life mission to troll my existence and to provoke me to react. He would then plead for my banning over foul language whilst all along he was the person that instigated the whole confrontation.

I never actively sought him out to insult him. Nor did I want him to be banned permanently, although I must admit that I wanted him to have a temporary ban as his trolling was constant and tiresome.

I think he has made a silly mistake in coming back in order to have a final dig and then leave. This is not what I would have expected of him. He has taken the whole thing to heart and should reconsider his position.

He should contact ADMIN and come back. I personally do not want him to be permanently banned.
