Totally agree...

Shame Halil doens't agree and despite 3 to 1 more GC's he picks his stories for TC missing only. Obviously he DOES care the ethnic background of an exhumed missing person before choosing to post the story.

No DT ,
Halil tries to show u ....Turkish Cypriots also suffered a lot . All the time missing persons issue used by the GC side for propaganda purposes just google in the net and see it .

have a look what it says at above writing again DT,
To date, the remains of more than 450 individuals have been exhumed from different burial sites located across the island, with 105 remains of the exhumed individuals identified and returned to their families.

Halil never says that u have no missing persons .
Halil never tries to stop people to communicate with GC's or visit the south but what u do DT my friend at every occasion , you don't want to see the present situation in Cyprus ... in very simple way when the people tries to get any help or information about north .... you are the one adding politics in everything , not me ....

my writings are for information , they have families at abroad as well they have to know that their loved one are found .To understand their feelings and emotions must be very strange for us , lately i watched the documentary about missing bus .... to listen those peoples sayings makes your hairs to rise up .... how difficult not to know where is the your love ones graves ... how inportant for them to know what happened to them ....

We must all help the missing persones officies to find them if we know any information about them .... this is includes for both GC's and TC's as well DT ...

while ago i was given same calling at this forum Dt .... I wonder how many of you notice this calling ..... Don't take this writing personally for yourself !

As I said Halil you obviously care what the ethnic background of the missing are before you report any news on them. You've admitted this by saying you are just trying to counter GC propaganda. Your reasons for doing this are your reasons, it still shows a racially selective posting of a Cypriot tragedy (made even worse by the fact that GC's have suffered in larger numbers for this specific tragic piece of history).

It would be nice if GCs posted records of attrocities carried out by their own,and the TCs vice versa...But that is not going to happen in our beloved Cyprus for a long time to come...This is our collective shame...

That 3 or 5 or 10 times more innocent GCs than TCs lost their lives in this mindles conflict of brother/sister against brother/sister does not make the pain and suffering of these 2 victims and their families any less or forgetable...Lest we forget...

There is only one atrocity which can be reversed, and that is for the total removal of all invading Turks, settlers and army, from Cyprus.

This can be achieved ..... let's focus on this!

I recently attended a meeting sponsored by my local municipality, Agios Athanasios in Limassol, addressed by Greek and Turkish Cypriots who have had direct experience of atrocities commited on this island. The star speaker was award-winning journalist, Sevgül Uludağ. I was very moved by Hüseyin Rüstem Akansoy's presentation. His story is one of such horror that it defies comprehension. While he was being held in detention, many of his relatives including all of his brothers and sisters and his mother, were killed in the massacre at Muratağa/Maratha village. Yet, Akansoy concluded by stressing that he does not hold the Greek Cypriot community to blame for what occured. He considers these murders to be common crimes committed by individual criminals, and his only wish is to see these people brought to justice. He has no desire to see his personal grief to be exploited for political purposes or turned into propaganda.

I studied the faces of the audience as Akansoy was speaking. These were ordinary, decent Greek Cypriots, the majority of whom were probably themselves refugees - there is a large refugee housing estate in our municipality. I saw nothing but compassion and empathy on those faces.

As long as you qualify what settlers you are talking about ( I am not denying the settlers issue - before you respond) your above statement is a great improvement Oracle. I am gratful.

The problem is Oracle to reverse the attrocity you are talking about we have to acknowledge and digest all the previous ones first...And truly understand why we are where we are...I don't see too many of you making much of an effort in that direction... :( :(

This is very encouraging,Tim...They should've done this systematically as part of the reconciliation process...Better late than never I suppose..

BK, Hi.

Now you are talking to real partitionists. Their hatred will split our island in half (so to speak) forever. It will be their loss. And I wanted Oracle as my neighbor
