TURKISH PRIMARY SCHOOL IN PILE HAS A NEW ATATURK BUST, SALOON AND PLAYGROUND
The Turkish Primary School in the mixed village of Pile now has a new Ataturk Bust, a multi-functional saloon and a children’s playground.
All these were built with contributions from the Help Committee of the Turkish Lefkosa Embassy, the Ministry of National Education and Culture and the Civil Defence Organization.
An opening ceremony was held at school yesterday.
Among those attending the special ceremony were the Minister of National Education and Culture Canan Oztoprak and the President of the Civil Defence Organization Omer Faruk Bozdemir.
The first speech at the ceremony was delivered by a teacher from the Pile Primary School- Cevdet Dilekkaya who stressed that every investment made at school is the investment made in children- whom he described as the guaranty of future.
Pile’s Muhtar Necdet Ermetal also highlighted the importance of investments made in the village.
Next to deliver a speech was Mr Bozdemir.
He said they will keep providing help to the village and announced that the radio broadcast of the Civil Defence Organization can now be listened to in Pile as well.
And finally speaking, Minister Oztoprak stated that the multi-functional saloon was a need of the Turkish Primary School of Pile but said the saloon will be open for the village people too.
She assured her Ministry’s determined support to the village.
Later poems were read out by Pile students and certificates of thanks were presented.
