you are talking about OUR easter, not YOUR orthodox easter. i assume. and regardless, everything should be open, we are about making money! and there is a parade????? i don't ever recall an easter parade....not to say that there isn't one. it's just other parades are a bigger deal. (i am not a parade person, anyway). the bronx zoo is open every day of the year, it's an awesome zoo. i know some of the gorillas personally. i would love to meet up with you, maybe meet you at the zoo and give you a bit of a tour of the zoo. or, just meet in manhattan. there is a smaller zoo in central park which is quiet nice, but no gorillas there.

We've yet to book, as it is son's preference with parents swaying towards Washington or Carolina (me) .... so we may compromise and go to Chicago. Anyway the clincher would be if we could get tickets for Lion King. But I'll PM you once I know.

Negro is defining a race of people from Africa, it is not outdated and never will be as it is a true dictionary definition; nothing racist.
Limey was a nickname givem to British sailors who were given Limes as part of their diet at sea to prevent scurvey.
Affro American, coon and nigger are not true terms although Nigger is defined in the 'Oxford Dictionary as Negro, dark skinned person.
Negroes are from Africa just as Pele's origins are; all/most came over as slaves but they are still Negroes.
In England it is taken one stupid step further as they are now British Affro Caribeans, but still Negroes.
To call them that is not racist.

Caucasian was a term coined by racists/eugenicists in the 1800s, for people spanning an area around Africa to Europe. It has since been shown that there are no discernible genetic determinants to assign people into races.
